Coleto Creek Park, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

First trip here. We stayed in #12, 30/50 amp site with full shade. The road around the loop has some low trees. Our RV is 13'6 so be careful. The site are not all level but the grounds are very nice and well kept. No trash around. We camped at Coleto Creek Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stay In the upper part of the park. This is an old facility but it's kept up very well. The airport is across the fence and there is what seemed to be a lot of air traffic for a small town but it's usually quiet at night. The park is close to town but far enough off the hwy that you don't hear the traffic noise. We camped at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It's always clean and the RV spots are spaced out so you don't have your neighbor looking in your windows. This is a great place to take the kids. We camped at Potters Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Location! If you enjoy quick access to the Gulf of Mexico, a great fishing pier and lots of things to do. You'll like this place. Nothing special, basically a big parking lot with water and electric. We stay there several weeks a year and really enjoy it. We camped at Padre Balli Park in a Travel Trailer.

Quintana Beach County Park, Quintana, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very clean and well maintained. Beach access is restricted to foot traffic only (no vehicles) which makes it very nice for families with children. As with most beach area parks, there are no shade trees. The area is quiet with the exception of the occasional ship coming into port and the drilling platform salvage operations going on during the day. The park staff was very polite and helpful. The park is closed to thru traffic at night for security. I will stay here again. We camped at Quintana Beach County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Poppy's Pointe Resort, Buchanan Dam, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very well maintained campground. The owner was out every day, working around the grounds, and was very helpful and polite. It appears that some people choose to rent spaces by the month, for there were quite a few trailers but not a lot of people. The camp is very quite, the pool was clean and very enjoyable. The kids were able to ride bikes, fish and swim and had a good time. This campground had a peaceful, family type environment We camped at Poppy's Pointe Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Padre Balli Park, Corpus Christi, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

For a beach park it's not bad. No frills, basically a large parking lot. The spaces are very close together. The restrooms were cleaned every day. The beach is only 100 yards away. The campground is somewhat loud and there's a lot of traffic in and out. We go here several times per year just due to the cost and location. We camped at Padre Balli Park in a Travel Trailer.

Potters Creek Park COE, Canyon Lake, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far my favorite park. We always enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Deer come right up in the campground. There are large trees for shade, the sites are all paved and level, with BBQ pits and fire rings. There is no day use of the park so the only people in the campground are the campers. The gates are locked nightly. Great place for a family outing. We camped at Potters Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.
