America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Definitely not America's best. If you have any problem, don't expect the owner to step up and help. I paid to use campground equipment that turned out faulty. No permanent harm done, but the owner just looked the "other way." I wont stay here again. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA, Wellington, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

My overall impression of the campsite is just ok. The owners are very nice and helpful. With easy access from the interstate, the campsite itself is laid out in typical KOA fashion -- somewhat close spaces but very well organized. The problem was the smell of cow manure -- quite strong depending on the wind direction. Maintenance could be better -- the grass needed mowing. I would try someplace else next time. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

An excellent campground. Exceptionally well-maintained. Lots of well-placed trees, good gravel roads, and lots of space between campsites. I really like places that are clean and well-maintained. The office had a small but convenient store. Easy access to all sites and easy access to I-80. The campground is located near a go-kart facility for the kids, a Harley dealer next door, and a number of other businesses. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The scenic views of the mountains were spectacular. The pull-thru spots were easy to access. My biggest problem with the park was all the Elk scat on the ground. You couldn't help but step on Elk scat everytime you went outside. For me, I wouldn't go back until this condition was remedied. Other people may not have a problem with it, however. If this doesn't bother you, the park is fine. The location is especially good as a base for seeing Rocky Mountain National Park. We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
