Dreher Island State Recreation Area, Prosperity, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground! All SC campgrounds we have visited have good facilities but this one had newly remodeled restrooms and showers. The campground is well maintained and rangers ride through frequently. Roads are kind of narrow which is not a problem for us but might be tight for a long RV. At least half of the sites back up to the lake. We would stay here again. We camped at Dreher Island State Recreation Area in a Tent Trailer.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

Site was wide but somewhat unlevel, quiet, clean bathhouse, WiFi was excellent, they offer breakfast and dinner and a store on site, bathhouses have 3 individual bathrooms with 2 of them containing showers.Would have been a 10 except for the slightly off level site and the price. We would stay here again. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Teton Valley RV Park, Victor, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Great place, level sites, WiFi good, bathhouse very clean, some spots tight and a bit expensive but that is to be expected around Jackson Hole. We stayed here 23 years ago when it was a KOA. It was good then and is good now. We would stay here again. We camped at Teton Valley RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Level gravel sites, WiFi decent, bathhouse very clean, quiet, in the middle of nowhere (but that can be a good thing). Be sure to visit Castle Town (ghost town). We would stay here again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Tent Trailer.

Waterton Springs Campground (Private), Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were placed in a field with hookups. The site was extremely unlevel and we were not even sure where our site ended and the next one began. We were placed in an area with no restroom and no shelter from the winds in spite of placing a reservation for our tent trailer a month before. Restroom had bird poop inside. Did not try the showers. Paid for 2 nights but after 70 mph winds and little sleep we left after one. Location is the ONLY thing this place has going for it! We would NOT stay here again! We camped at Waterton Springs Campground (Private) in a Tent Trailer.

Lewis & Clark State Park, Onawa, Iowa

On a lake, very quiet and pleasant campground. We stayed in an electric only site. The bathhouse is older but up to usual state park standards. We would stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Buffalo River State Park, Glyndon, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Let me be clear here. If you are looking for a state park to bring your family and hang out for a week in your self contained RV, this might be the place. If you are are like us traveling in a tent trailer it is not. This is a small campground that is swampy when it rains. I somehow missed that there were no water hookups which would not have been a problem if the bathhouse had been good. Unfortunately the floors of the bathhouse were soaking wet during our entire visit. It is as if someone hosed it down and left it. We would not stay here again! We camped at Buffalo River State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Wasagaming Campground (Parks Canada), Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Location, location, location! Walking distance to town and Clear Lake. Nightly rate does not include $19 CDN to enter park. Sites are pull-through with bushes between sites. It had been raining and the sites was swampy with mosquitoes. Sites close to level. Bathhouse dated but only 1 shower. Clean to usual state park standards. What makes this place great is abundant wildlife. Saw 4 moose and a bear while driving through the park. Would stay here again. We camped at Wasagaming Campground (Parks Canada) in a Tent Trailer.

Arrowhead RV Park, Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly owners that know what they are doing! They live on site and have camped enough to know what RV owners want and need in a park. Crushed limestone throughout (eliminates mosquitoes), WiFi cost $5 but was good. Bathrooms/showers were excellent. We highly recommend this one! We would stay here again. We camped at Arrowhead RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Showers and bathhouse clean but needed updating. Mainly long term tenants (appeared to be construction workers). Very quiet. WiFi spotty. Good for one night stop. We would stay there again. We camped at Stony Plain Lions Club in a Tent Trailer.

Spring Creek RV Campground, Canmore, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park! Bathrooms very clean but slightly outdated, WiFi spotty. Our site was an older narrow one (there are wider sites). Quiet, train tracks nearby, but the trains did not blow their horns so they did not wake us. Friendly staff. So nice here that we stayed an extra night. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Spring Creek RV Campground in a Tent Trailer.

A.H. Stephens Historic Park, Crawfordville, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park! Only downside is nearby train tracks. Heard three trains during the night but only one horn per train. So, if you're in a hard sided trailer or motor home you may not even notice. Otherwise, the quietest place we've ever camped. Level sites, clean restrooms. This is a little noticed gem. We will camp here again. We camped at A.H. Stephens Historic Park in a Tent Trailer.

Edisto Beach State Park, Edisto Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Only bad thing I can say about this campground is the road into the ocean side campground is pretty rough, but you really shouldn't be driving that fast now should you? Bi-Lo grocery across the street, two restaurants nearby (we loved the Seacow), level sites, ocean right over the dunes, What's not to like! We camped at Edisto Beach State Park in a Tent Trailer.
