This campground is located in a central location to some beautiful areas such as Point Reyes, Mt. Tam, Samuel Taylor State Park, etc. The campground itself is marginal as the sites are fairly close together and the power is weak. Our microwave kept tripping the breaker. It reminded us of camping in a grassy field with a few trees. They did deliver firewood to our campsite very quickly which was nice. Unfortunately there is no easy way to get to the campground as Highway 1 is tough as well as Sir Francis Drake Blvd. The Marin County coast is very beautiful though and the lighthouse at Point Reyes is worth seeing.

We had a campsite that was on the Big Sur River. The campground is very pretty and the people working there were friendly. Each campsite has a fire pit. There is a really nice playground if you happen to have smaller children. There is also a nice restaurant within walking distance. The campground is on Highway 1 which is very windy as it follows the coast. It makes up for this by being exceptionally pretty. Overall we had a great time and we would like to go back sometime.
