Road to park has been repaired and there is minimal truck traffic on it compared to our last visit. We stayed here to be close to kayak fishing and lots of inexpensive restaurents. The owners are onsite and make sure your stay is great. It is neatly mowed, level sites are a big plus, and secure.

Date of Stay:

This is a favorite short stay park for us but this time we were disappointed that everything was closed except the pool. The few staff we saw told us that there was a staff shortage so there was no restaurant or golf course available. The sites were clean and neat. We didn't attempt to fish in the 2 ponds as we were told there was an abundance of alligators now inhabiting them. For a quiet short stay it is OK. The price reflects our TT rate.

Date of Stay:

The park had just reopened after severe flooding by the Arkansas River which deposited up to 4 feet of sand in areas of the park. It was ready for the July holiday crowd and had been manicured for all to enjoy. There is no more awesome sight to watch than the barges that are 1/4 mile long being pushed up or down the river by boats, especially at night when they are lit up with colored lights. We sat in chairs 50 feet from the water on our shady site for hours on end watching them.

Date of Stay:

Large, shady lots with great separation from neighbors. Sites were level gravel, streets are good also. Large ponds for fishing. Park is kept up and looks very good at all times.

This is a quiet park not far from the beach in a small town loaded with many good places to eat. It is only a short trip to St. Augustine or Jacksonville for some wonderful sightseeing. The park is well maintained and a comfortable place to spend some time.

We were greeted by the owner and guided to our level, grassy, site next to a shade tree. This park is small and cozy and the owners go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. The lake is large and loaded with fish for catch and release. With chairs and grill lakeside, you can just sit back and relax. Be sure to visit the Mansions in nearby Natchitoches, the oldest city in LA. We hope we can come back to this tranquil RV park soon.

We stayed here 2 months and enjoyed it the whole time. The park is 15 minutes from Rockport, Port Aransas, Corpus Christi, and close to shopping. The owners are very congenial and have made this park a good place to stay. Concrete pads for all sites, clean grounds, and nice recreation building. We would stay here again.

Very nice, fairly new park. Staff very helpful and park is well kept. The $9.00 rate was based on a monthly rate divided by 30 nights.

Date of Stay:

This is a relaxed, member only, park with large pecan trees and many deer roaming. On this stay the hot tub and pool were closed but most other facilities were open. A new manager is in place but he is not very friendly, rarely speaks to members or guests. The maintenance staff do a great job and the housekeeping is great with clean bathrooms and buildings. We would recommend this park to all who can use it.

Date of Stay:

The park is popular on the weekends and thus becomes full of tents and children. There are very few sewered sites and the office staff isn't aware of where they are located. We found 5 that they were not aware of and were very gracious when we told them. The staff tries very hard to please the guests. The term resort is used rather loosely here. Our family would stay here on a short stay but not an extended stay.

Small park with gracious hosts who escort you to your site. Shaded sites are gravel and level; the park is getting ready to expand to more sites. Host came and wished up a good trip as we were leaving. Great for a short stay.

We were disappointed in the young staff who greeted us but didn't know if we could get a different spot other than the middle of a sunny field, far from everything. We had to get a list of what was available and then drive around to find a site we could get into. The Resort is oriented to being a Condo resort, not a RV resort. The sites are not level or maintained very good. The fishing was great in all the areas.

Wonderful spot to stay beside the Mississippi River and watch the barge traffic. Sites have 75' x 12' level concrete pads complete with gravel area beside for table, fire ring and tent use. Facilities were clean and the hosts were very informative.

Owners are wonderful; they escort you to your site and check back later to insure all is well. They provided maps of the area, including good fishing places. Great place to stay.

Obviously a lot of work has been done here since the last review was posted; the sites have been widened, new electric service at each site, and a great attitude from the staff. As busy as they were on our check-in, we were able to change our site to fit our motorhome easier with no trouble at all. The sites are neat, clean, and well maintained. This Resort is a 5 star in my book.
