Oconee Point COE, Seneca, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight first visit to Oconee Point for us. We had site 23 on the southern facing shore of Hartwell Lake. Water pressure and electric were fine. Antenna TV gave us several stations. Verizon cell signal was good. We plan to return for a longer stay. We camped at Oconee Point COE in a Motorhome.

Lake Powhatan Recreation Area, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground very convenient to the Biltmore Estate. Shady & quiet, and dark at night; friendly courteous hosts. Over the air TV extremely limited (One major network), satellite unavailable due to tree cover. WiFi is basically non-existent due to VERY limited cell coverage and no WiFi in the park. Great park for hiking swimming & mountain biking. Occasional children activities provided. We camped at Lake Powhatan Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Acadiana Park Campground, Lafayette, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night. There was only one other camper here when we stayed. There seemed to be a comprehensive nature study tour but we were late to take part. Rustic with tight turns for 40 footer. Nice, quiet, and shady with large Oaks just off of residential area. 30-50 Amp with water. No park attendant on arrival. Pick your own spot, pay when leaving. $13/night cash or check only. Convenient to Lafayette. We camped at Acadiana Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground relatively convenient to Charleston (at 15 mi.) and the Isle of Palms beach (at 7 mi.). A number of RV sites have a nice setting overlooking or backing onto lakefront. We use this campground to avail ourselves of both the beach & Charleston in addition to visiting with relatives. Wi-Fi was good; however cable quality at our site was very fuzzy. We did not have the opportunity to utilize a number of campground outdoor facilities or restrooms. We had enjoyed our stay here at this campground earlier this year, but were very surprised to find that campsite fees had been increased by 43% this visit for no apparent change in amenities or particular seasonal increase (an attempt to reserve again in 2010 at the same time as our previous stay resulted in the same increased fee). This is a nice campground although not on par with the up-scale so-called "resort" campgrounds. When weighed against nearby Hilton Head Resort campgrounds, this KOA's current fees seem excessive otherwise I would give a higher rating. We camped at Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while our son was undergoing outpatient surgery. This is a nice park with very accommodating hosts. They even welcomed our dogs with a "goodie" bag and a biscuit. (Nice touch). When our son's recovery took longer than planned the campground hosts courteously accommodated our brief extended stay. Thanks so much! We will camp here again. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
