Lake Lanier Islands Campground, Buford, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. We had a spot right next to the lake. Our spot was level and clean. Had a grill and picnic table, and a path down to the lake where there was another picnic table. Some spots are more secluded than others. Very quite. Staff was nice. We camped at Lake Lanier Islands Campground in a Motorhome.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

One of the prettiest campgrounds we have stayed in. Campground was completely full, but did not "feel" that way. Staff and campers were very friendly. Our site, #164, was very nice. Lot's of room between sites, and about 50 yards of open space behind us to a fence. Looking that way was a gorgeous view of the horse park. They have shuttles that run between the campground and the horse park. Pool was one of the nicest and cleanest we have seen at a campground. Would be a 10 if they had sewer hookup. They do have 4 dump sites though. Also, was not able to get on WiFi, but did not need it, so I did not try any further. Wife and I stayed for 2 days. Will be taking our kids back there in the fall. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Perfect for overnight stay. Easy access off of I-75. Staff was very nice. Even though right beside truck stop, could not hear any truck noise, and slept fine. We camped at Cordele KOA in a Motorhome.
