Sarasota Lakes RV Resort , Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean community. I really wouldn't call it an RV park. They have 400 spaces, with 40 of them given to RV's as rentals. The rest are mobile homes. It's very quiet here, and very clean. The site is all concrete, and has a picnic table. The laundry was clean and cheap ($1.25 to wash and $.75 to dry) - but no change machine. No wifi at sites. Large pool. Very convenient location to Sarasota attractions. Because the price is good and the location is minutes away from Sarasota, I would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sarasota Lakes RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

Hands down, the most beautiful RV resort we have ever visited (and we've probably visited 75+ RV parks in 10 years). We were here in July, and had the place practically to ourselves. The pool was wonderful and the laundry convenient (24 hours with a change machine, $1.75 to wash, $1.75 to dry). The staff were great - we visited over July 4th and did everything over the phone - no issues. I would definitely visit here again! There is not wifi at the sites, but it works great at the clubhouse/pool. We camped at Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Jolly Roger Travel Park, Marathon, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. We parked on the seawall and enjoyed watching the sunset from our site. Staff was very helpful and happy to make suggestions of local attractions and restaurants. Wifi was tolerable. Restrooms were very clean. I did not use the laundry room. I would return here if in the keys. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We rented a car from the Marathon airport, about 6 miles away, and got reasonable rates. Lazy Days on Islamorada is my favorite restaurant, hands down, in the keys. Go snorkeling at Alligator Reef (Islamorada), you won't regret it.

Holiday Cove RV Resort, Cortez, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We thoroughly enjoyed this campground. The sites were all private and well maintained (level too). The wifi was good. The bathrooms were nicer than our house - with tile and granite. The laundry room had a change machine and was very clean. The dryers finished our loads with one cycle.
The pool area was nice and anyone we encountered was very friendly. We camped at Holiday Cove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Olive Branch Campground, Oregonia, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night for a quick get away, since we live only 45 minutes away. The drive into the park was beautiful. Our site was shady and level. The playground was very nice, as was the camp store. The Wi-Fi worked well for us, too. It was a very peaceful stay and we would definitely stay here again. We also ordered dinner (pizza) from a local restaurant that delivers to the campground. It was delicious and convenient. We camped at Olive Branch Campground in a Motorhome.

Garden of the Gods Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

I was happy they were able to accomodate me at the last minute. There were some great things here. It is very convenient if wanting/needing to walk. There are stables next door that we used for a family horseback riding trip through the Garden of the Gods. You could walk to Manitou Springs with little effort. We did laundry here, and the facilities were quite nice and inexpensive (compared to other campgrounds). We have AT&T, and had 0 service. Wi-Fi didn't work for us either - at all. So, between AT&T and no Wi-Fi, we would NOT stay here again. The sites are VERY close together. I was surprised the camp store doesn't sell milk, bread, etc. My kids enjoyed the pool and the pancake breakfast (on a Sunday). Also, the water pressure at our site was terrible, and was the only time on a two week trip that we had issues. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night passing through trying to hit all the National Parks. It's very close to Capitol Reef. The views from this park are very nice. The camp store is excellent. Wi-Fi was decent. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said, it is simply a paved parking lot, but for us, traveling with no extra car, the convenience of being able to walk to the Las Vegas Strip was worth the one night we stayed. Circus Circus is on the extreme end of the strip, but definitely within walking distance to the main casinos (Bellagio, MGM, Venetian). The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our site was level. Wi-Fi worked well. We ended up taking a taxi back to our site from the Bellagio and it was $12. If in Las Vegas in an RV again, I would definitely stay here. We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Motorhome.

Malibu Beach RV Park, Malibu, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $140.00
Overall Rating:

The view was beautiful, as it should have been for $140/night. We were able to walk to the ocean to let our kids get in the Pacific for a bit. There is also a seafood restaurant right next door that was very good. The laundry room was great. Wi-Fi worked ok for us. I would stay here again. We camped at Malibu Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Diego RV Resort, La Mesa, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two nights. We got in very late - close to 1:30 am, and they had a night guard on duty to show us to our spot. Very pretty park. Our kids enjoyed the pool. Wi-Fi worked great. The laundry closes at 10 pm, which wasn't convenient for us. Perhaps the best feature is that it is right next door to a San Diego trolley stop, which we were able to take to the San Diego Zoo. I would stay here again. We camped at San Diego RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A Deming Roadrunner RV Park, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a quick overnight stop - in at 10 pm and out at 7 am. I had made a reservation, but the night registration was easy to follow as well. WI-FI worked great. Site was very level. It had an "overnight" area, which was nice, as I didn't feel like we were bothering the normal guests. I probably wouldn't want to stay here for more than just an overnight stop, but for our purpose, it was great. We camped at A Deming Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Goodland KOA, Goodland, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was probably the cleanest KOA I have ever seen. The owners were super nice, the playground was fantastic and they had a lot to offer in terms of meals (pancake breakfast and dinner delivered to site). This was a great stopping point for us after a long day of driving. I would definitely recommend staying here if in the area. We camped at Goodland KOA in a Motorhome.

Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley , Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This was probably the worst campground I have ever stayed in. The grass hadn't been mowed in weeks and it just generally looked dirty. The sites were very unlevel. It had two things going for it: the views of the Grand Tetons and the Wi-Fi worked great. Otherwise: pick somewhere else! We camped at Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley in a Motorhome.
