Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We were very happy with this campground. It was in a beautiful location and very clean. Showers and bathhouse were very clean. The view of the mountains and the river were so beautiful. We liked being in close proximity to Asheville's attractions and Weaverville was convenient for eating and shopping. We stayed in site D-11. It was not a problem getting up and down the road to the campground but had to use care in backing into our spot with our travel trailer. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

Bald Mountain Camping Resort, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for Labor Day Weekend. This is an excellent campground. The mountain views are scenic and beautiful. There is a lot to do for kids. The site we stayed in was a pull thru and was very level. Everything was very clean and well kept. We had full hook ups with free internet and cable. We have already booked our next stay here. We camped at Bald Mountain Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA , Lawrence, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was clean, the bathhouse and restrooms were clean. Showers had good water pressure and hot water. The pool was clean and there were planned activities for the kids such as a hayride, crafts and movie night. The gravel paths through the campground are not great for bike riding. It was very noisy since it is in close proximity to the highway, an airport and double train tracks. The trains really lay on the horns when passing. There was a monthly rental section that was a bit unkept and the residents were not respectful of other guests or family hours. Due to the noise we will not be back. We camped at Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Kettle Campground Cabins & RV Park, Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on Memorial Day weekend and the campground was full. The bathhouse only had two shower stalls per gender and two toilets per gender and was not adequate for the number of guests. We will try another Eureka campground next time. We camped at Kettle Campground Cabins & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park with rolling hills, trees and a variety of sites to choose from. The pool and playground are very nice. The fishing ponds were nice as well as walking trails through the woods. There were planned activities for kids such as a hayride, crafts, duck racing contest and movies. The store is very nice and even has a pizza shop. The bathhouse was very clean but the water pressure for the shower was very low and the water would not get hot. It is a bit noisy in the daytime because of the close proximity to the Kansas City International airport, but I guess the positive thing about this is that planes don't fly out of KCI after 10:00 p.m. or so at night. We will try this campground again, hopefully the shower situation will be resolved. We camped at Basswood Resort in a Travel Trailer.
