Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is an OK RV Park but that's about it. After more than 6 yrs. of full timing I would definitely not agree with the previous accolades. Only half of the parks spaces have grass and concrete pads. The rest are gravel, gravel and more gravel, resulting in quite a bit of dust. The park is adjacent to Hwy.50, so be prepared to hear traffic pretty much the entire time, as well as a frequent train in the distance. We were asked the age of our rig(2006) when we made our reservation and so were very surprised to see quite a number of very old and questionable rigs. Especially since they advertise "Clean & Modern RV's only". They do have great 70 channel TV and the office staff is very friendly and cordial. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Not much to add to previous reviews except to be prepared for the odor from nearby oil refineries when the wind shifts. Park fills up fast so make sure you have reservations. Office staff needs to leave the office and check out the park since they claim that the Internet map is deceiving and all pull thru's are the same length. They Are Not ! Spaces are close together and they are expanding the parking lot so maybe a laundry facility is in the future. The price is right though, for what you get. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Southside RV Park, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A clean, cute, quiet very nice little park. The new owners have only had the park for a couple of years and are very friendly and intent on meeting your needs. Only negative is that the park needs to update it's electrical system. They need more 50 amp and to refurbish their 30 amp. We tripped their 30 amp circuit breakers about 3 times on a warm day that required air conditioning. Great little town and don't forget to eat at Sparky's Diner, about a 3 block walk from the park. We camped at Southside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Den RV Resort , Grangeville, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Relatively new park with nice long Pull-Thru's. They do not have sites with shade trees as advertised but that is to be expected since they are new young trees. The sign as you enter also say's "Yes!all of the RV sites are level", which they are not. The only rigs not using leveling blocks were self leveling motorhomes. One should not advertise something you don't have. It is nevertheless a very clean and peaceful place to stay. Right off of Rt. 95 but you don't hear the traffic at night. Stayed a week and would return. They do charge $3.00 per night extra for 50AMP service which is not mentioned on their web site. We camped at Bear Den RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Horn Rapids RV Resort, Richland, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Great new park with nice long Pull-Thrus. The spaces are a little tight but nothing you can't live with for a few nights. Beautifully landscaped and a nice outdoor heated pool that is not overly chlorinated as so many others are. You park on gravel but the streets are paved and the Pull-Thrus have grass whereas the back in sites have a concrete patio. Would definitely return whenever in the area. We camped at Horn Rapids RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the better RV parks and definitely in the top ten of Casino RV Resorts. You are greeted as you approach the office by the person that will guide you to your space, which is your first indication that you are truly welcomed. Nice large spots and beautifully landscaped park. Only negative was that the heated indoor pool was not very well heated. We will definitely return whenever in the area. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
