Great place, we stayed on the last row looking down onto the river. Very beautiful and the groundskeepers have it clean and well kept. Didn't use any of the "resort" features, but the place was quiet and low key. Located about 6 miles from the city square, and there are lots of things to do around Kerrville.

Great place! We were only going to stay here for one night on the way to Ft. Davis, but due to the fires in Ft. Davis the owners gave us another day so we could replan our next move. This is a gem of stay. We stayed in a motorhome, 40', no issues. All dirt/gravel type layout with easy reach. Big trees and river access is super easy. They have a ladder to ease into the river or further down back up to drop off your canoe. Bathroom house was nice and clean, no issues with dogs, noise, etc. Owner will give you plenty of history, just ask and there is a lot of it around that area. We will stay here on our next trip through west Texas.

Very nice setting just minutes from downtown WImberley. The lady in the office was very cordial. The slots up front on the 2nd row are longer, but if you are in a 40'+ with mid tanks and pull up to the front you will need 3 hoses connected. Utilities are mid set.

Park has very friendly employees, nice concrete sites, a huge lake, easy in and out, a pool, clean bathrooms and private showers. Store was stocked as well. Stayed one night (40f MH) as we were passing through.

The previous reviews are very accurate. I stayed here because it was near the dance hall for the wedding we attended. We used this place as a place to sleep, not camp. Our nightly sleep was no issues with noise or the bar/office. I ranked it midway only because it wasn't bad as I knew what we had to work with. On my next visit to WImberley I will stay somewhere else.

The electric box had a 50amp, but it didn't work. Forgot to ask if they upgraded and it was complete. Only a quick stopover and we didn't need full 50, so we just used the 30amp. Otherwise same great time and place to stay. The park rangers rocked.

The owner was very helpful as we were late arrivals. However we got here earlier than planned and he told us we had a lower rate than booked, so we saved $6. A very friendly atmosphere. Crushed rock driveways, nice level sites with concrete pads, no picnic table. No trees for shade or to block the north wind during winter months: stay up front for coverage. Will be back next year when we visit Walburg.

Arrived about an hour before closing and there were still 3 on staff at front and very cheerful and helpful. This was just a sleep over stay so didn't check out any other camp amenities. Good location just off I-10, area isn't one to walk around, but the camp is down a hill in a small valley that the Salado creek runs through.

Truly enjoyed this campground. Very helpful front desk, grounds clean, sites level, all one would need. Just outside of town. Will be back here on our next run through.

Really nice State Park. First come, first serve; we got there late and the most level spots were taken. Otherwise half circle drives were so bad.

The February 2009 review says about what I encountered as well. However I requested a site next to my brother-in-law and the owners gave me just that or had a 2nd option depending on our rig. The owner came out and helped us navigate into the site due to the closeness of the oaks. Yes: you might lose awning space, but the tree overhang made up for it. Very easy park to find off 188/35: the entrance is where the weigh station used to be. No lights, so it's hard to see at night when looking for the entrance.

What a cool RV park situated within the Castroville City Park. The Medina River is about 100 yards away. Ken the RV Park Manager is the man. Well maintained, RV park is chip and seal and plenty of alternate parking for cars. Easy in and out with back gate to exit. Only drawback was no credit cards accepted.

The review below says it all. I didn't rate it a 10 because wifi is important to us, and it is very weak and I was located within 100' of the store. They even had routers on the poles for those further down the road Nice turn around area too. Not many folks there, it was about 1/4 full at most. Lots of snow birds and trout fisherman. Our neighbor complained he caught his 5 limit before breakfast and ran out of things to do! The sites were gravel with concrete picnic pad. The river view was great.

This centrally located boutique RV Park is located central to all things to do in FW. About 4 of the 18 slots are for pop ups the remaining can handle up to 45', no issues getting in or out even though it is tight. We parked in #9, under a large tree, which the birds tend to rest in leaving my roof and window in a less desired state no to mention the acorns diving bombing on the roof. I really like this place. The Park hostess rocks too!! Super nice and makes it warm around there. Plenty of stores near by. The spaces are close and it is a tight turning radius, just don't be in a hurry.

This camp rocks. Quiet. Friendly owners/employees and campers. As a cyclist, I also ride the area and the locals are bike friendly for sure. No worries riding on a 2 lane road with lots of climbing, deer, and scenery. Only issue during this time of year is the leaves from the cypress trees stick to your shoes and once inside your MH, are like needles. Just unpleasant. But wearing indoor/outdoor shoes/slippers takes care of that issue. Garner State Park is really nice. Lots of good hiking. The Frio is beautiful and cold. Recommend this stop.
