Nice park. Mostly pavement, which I don't mind. Near water. Secure and quiet. Easy on and off the freeway. Lots to do in San Diego. Make sure you visit the USS Midway. We camped at Mission Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging, Groveland, California

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I am giving this a 5 for a few reasons, good and bad. First the good. Super friendly welcome. The two ladies at the front desk were tops. The pool looked very clean and inviting. A cute little petting zoo. Spaces were pretty darn close to flat. Fire rings and picnic tables in every site. Now the bad. Super dusty roads. Any diesel pusher motorhome in motion was followed by a huge cloud of dust. All cars kicked up a nice cloud of dust even while traveling at a snails pace. My site was of adequate size, but another nearby 40' pusher was stuffed into a really small site and they made their reservations a back in February. Dumpsters were always full. Tremendous potential. Interior road improvements would make this place an 8 or 9. We camped at Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging in a Motorhome.

Tapo Canyon Park, Simi Valley, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this campground. Was nice and quiet. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. Archery club meets on Saturday morning at the park next door and you can shoot all day for $5. That was fun for one of my boys. All sites are concrete and interior roads are paved. Hook ups are perfectly located. Great place to stay to visit the Reagan Library. We will use this campground again. We camped at Tapo Canyon Park in a Motorhome.

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, Pismo Beach, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park. All of the facilities were very clean. We enjoyed the soft serve ice cream every evening. We were here during spring break which meant lots of kids and more noise than I like. I'd stay here again. We camped at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mountain Village RV Park, Etna, California

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a hidden gem for outdoorsy people who like to hike, fish and sightsee. It is very near the Marble Mountain Wilderness and the Russian Wilderness Areas. Lots of incredible lakes to visit. As far as the park goes, it is very nice. Easy in and easy out. The hookups are a 10. Friendly lady at the Shell station will check you in. It is very quiet. Nice play area for the kids. Two horseshoe pits. Small town. Nice place. We camped at Mountain Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Napa Valley Expo RV Park, Napa, California

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Great park to see the Napa area from. Access the park from the Silverado Trail, not 3rd street. Concrete sites are well spaced. Nice grass and perfect paved roads. The host was very friendly. The hookups are a 10. The only bummer is that they don't take reservations, and I never could get anyone to answer the phone. Less than 60 minutes to Fishermans Wharf. Less than 60 minutes to the ocean. Wine tasting up the wazoo. One of the best in the bay area. We camped at Napa Valley Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We used this RV park as a base for exploring and experiencing "the city". The beach below was nice. The park could use some maintenance. Our electric post was rusted out. Our sewer hookup had a red adapter broken off in it, so I couldn't use my dump (I used my neighbors). Water is fresh and has good pressure. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will be back, but next time I want a bluff site. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.
