Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA), Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I don't give many parks a rating of 10, but this is one. Our site was shady, mostly level and sufficiently wide. Roads are sufficiently wide. Utilities all worked well, including (and this is a rarity) the Wi-Fi and cable. Very well equipped workout room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Richmond, Kings Dominion, or just as an overnight stop (very convenient to I-95). We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park - easy to navigate, roomy spaces and very friendly staff. The waffles and coffee were a nice treat. Wi-Fi worked well, as did the cable and other utilities. If I had to complain about something it would be that it is a bit pricey, and I really don't understand why some campgrounds feel the need to charge extra for kids. We would stay here again. We camped at Raleigh Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, close to many area attractions. Spaces are a bit tight, but not too bad. Plenty of shade and the pool is nice. Utilities were good and Wi-Fi worked well. This campground does charge extra for children, which I think is a ridiculous practice. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Memphis Jellystone Park, Horn Lake, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. Spaces are concrete, have plenty of room and are fairly level. No complaints about the utilities. Pool was very clean. Not much shade, but we knew that and the trees will eventually get big enough. The only issue keeping me from giving this campground a rating of 10 is the Wi-Fi - had trouble keeping a connection, and when we got one it was incredibly slow. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Little River RV Park & Campground, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Nice wide spaces, long pull throughs, mostly level, and plenty of shade. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Wi-Fi, cable TV and utilities were all good. The kids enjoyed the lake and playground. Extremely helpful and friendly owners. We will definitely be staying here again. We camped at Little River RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Newton KOA , Newton, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff and well kept grounds, but the spaces were so narrow that I was not able to open my awning. Had to wake up the people next to me at 6am to ask them to put their awning up before I left or I would have hit it. The Wi-Fi was also so weak that it was unusable. We camped at Newton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Northland Camping & RV Park, Superior, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a nice campground. Spots were not big, but offered enough room to be comfortable. The pull-throughs are nice and long, with fairly level concrete pads. Not much shade and the playground could use some work. Wi-Fi was flaky. We camped at Northland Camping & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground), Munising, Michigan

Nice campground with great shady, mostly level spots. Utilities and cable are good. Would have rated higher except the Wi-Fi was not even usable for most of the stay. Would definitely stay here again if the Wi-Fi improves. We camped at Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. Some reviews state narrow roads, but they are mostly one-way and not a problem. Our site was not exactly level, but this was not a problem either. The spots on the river are very nice with covered shelters. My only real complaint is the additional charge per night for children - this is a little silly, as they do not take up any additional campground space. But in short, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Casino Queen RV Park, East Saint Louis, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground if you are just looking to use your camper as a hotel, and not looking to do "camping" activities. It is basically a parking lot with hookups: all pull-throughs and fairly level. We woke up every morning to a view of the Arch. Casino security seemed very good, just don't wander off of the casino grounds after dark. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
