Paragon Casino Resort RV Park, Marksville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

By far this is the nicest resort/campground I have visited. My kids had a ton of fun with all the activities, shuttle service to the movies, casino, buffet. Lots of security and the site was very well groomed. Very clean and exciting! It was the 4th of July holiday weekend so the lot was completely full-not a single empty slot. Make reservation early on holidays. There are also cabins available for rent so if you wanted to have family over but not in your space, that would be perfect. I will visit here every chance that presents itself. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cajun Country Campground, Port Allen, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very quiet, country style camp ground. I did notice that this is a site used by many as their home,(residents). I was not bothered by this. I kept an eye on my children and felt comfortable and safe there. I did use the laundry facility and was very pleased to have them. I will camp here again. Has great shade trees at every slot and the drive thru was great, no problems with having to back in. We camped at Cajun Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The scenery was great, very lush and lots of wildlife to photograph. Bring lots of towels or be prepared if it rains, there is lots of muddy area so bring a rug. Lots of shady area and the campground has gatherings and lots of activites in the pavillion area, seems every weekend. We camped at Frenchman's Wilderness Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Fausse Pointe State Park, Saint Martinville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very clean and well groomed park. Not as many camper spots as I thought so reservations are necessary. Some of the slots are a little hard to back into if you have slideouts because of the trees on both sides, but the courtesy of seasoned campers are always willing to help. Nice place to get away but remember there is no cell phone service here. I will camp here often We camped at Lake Fausse Pointe State Park in a Travel Trailer.
