Springfield Campground COE, Anderson, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time and would definitely stay there again. Our site was very easy to pull onto and get level. We walked the campground and found most all the sites to be level and well laid out. We camped at Springfield Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We brought along our canoe and really enjoyed Lake Hartwell, you need to keep an eye out for the boaters as some of them aren't as considerate as others. There are plenty of options for shopping within 10 miles -Walmart, Lowes, supermarkets etc....

Santee State Park, Santee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on site 10 for a weekend and were surprised how people freely walked through occupied sites to make their walk shorter to get to the water. The access to the park is not gated so anyone can drive in whenever they choose. Compared to other SC Parks, we seldom saw a Ranger patrolling. Lots of golf carts, careless young adults driving w/o regard for others. Maybe a good over nite spot, but definitely not an in season destination. Roads had many large holes and sites were not very level.... lots of roots. We camped at Santee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

New Smyrna Beach Campground, New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The manager who checked us in was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Like it was mentioned in other reviews, the Wi-Fi was very slow, even though we were about as close to the office as possible. I was surprised there wasn't a camp store on site, but we were very close to shopping etc. The restrooms and showers were probably the cleanest I've ever seen, and the laundry facilities looked good. The only other thing we missed was being able to have a campfire. No wood fires were allowed. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Our only disappointment was we could only stay one night as we were traveling to South Carolina. This place is clean, well laid out, and well cared for. The bathrooms could not be cleaner: and that is an understatement! You will not find nicer people, and after staying here you can see why they have won so many KOA Awards and Honors. Excellent Wi-Fi service and easy in and out for bigger rigs. We camped at Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Harrisburg East Campground, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay was an overnight and this place was perfect, the owners are a very nice couple who take a lot of pride and care in the campground. Very clean restrooms and showers. We were traveling with a second vehicle as we are relocating and they had us park the second vehicle on the site next door! I would recommend them to anyone ! We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Pines Campsites & RV Park, Greenfield Center, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as it was our last camping trip of the season and it was close to home. I would have to say it was one of the nicest campgrounds and our site was nice sized with lots of room. The owners were very nice and accommodating as we stopped by the day before to look at the campground. They gave us a lot of options for sites for our weekend stay. We will definitely be staying there again and would highly recommend this campground. We camped at Whispering Pines Campsites & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Schroon River (Adirondack Adventures Resorts), Diamond Point, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here with the understanding that we would meet with a person (during our 2 day stay) who would show us the campground and offer us to become members. I have to say the salesman really dragged the presentation on and on and made numerous attempts to "be funny". We opted not to drop $5000+ to join, although if a person was interested in program, it seemed reasonable. I'm sure there was room to get them to come down and still make the sale. The campground was nice given the time of year and how busy they were. $54/nite seemed steep to me, i didn't think what they offered was a value for that kind of money. We camped at Schroon River (Adirondack Adventures Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.

Nickerson Park Campground, Gilboa, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were very impressed with the campground, we were greeted at check-in and thoroughly explained what all the activities and rules were in a very professional manner ! The store was exceptionally well stocked and reasonably priced. Without a doubt, i would have to say they offered the most family friendly camping experience I have ever seen. Each camping section has an open well groomed field with plenty of space for children to play while still within eyesight. The Wi-Fi is available at the store for free. The only reason we didn't give them a 10 is there was only one set of restrooms with flush toilets. There were plenty of privy's throughout the campground though if you don't mind that ! We will definitely be going back, hopefully this fall. We camped at Nickerson Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Autumn Hills Campground, Weare, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We picked our stay here without looking at any of the previous reviews on this website. Usually we look here first, but this time we didn't. My wife and i are so glad we didn't ! The owners are two of the nicest hosts we have ever met and have a nice, clean, family oriented and well run campground. After a day or so it was obvious they are very hands on and available hosts. Our stay was on site #90 and we enjoyed a very nice week on a great site. Daniels Lake is ideal to canoe or kayak. We decided to rent a paddle boat for a couple of hours. The restrooms and shower near our site were spotless and in excellent condition. Also their pool was clean and looked well maintained. Over all, it is one of the finest campgrounds we have stayed at. I would't advise anyone to believe every "review" written. If we had done that we would have missed out on an great time at a wonderful campground ! We camped at Autumn Hills Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Camping on the Battenkill, Arlington, Vermont

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. The website was very helpful in choosing a site. The sites are well laid out and roomy. We stayed on site 12b which is a pull-through site with full hook-ups. There are a few very nice W/E sites right on the river. The restrooms were clean, but lacked hand soap. Also, the toilet stalls had a curtain rather than a door for privacy. My son was a little disappointed that their ice cream cooler was empty, and they didn't have any candy, probably due to the season hadn't opened as we were there before Memorial Day Weekend. We would recommend Camping On the Battenkill to anyone looking for a nice peaceful campground. It is everything the website claims and more ! We camped at Camping on the Battenkill in a Travel Trailer.

Poland Spring Campground, Poland, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is everything the website claims and more! Definitely a place we would return to. Has plenty of planned activities for the kids, a great camp store, a nice pool, and a beautiful large pond. We had a site close to the field where the activities were and had the pleasure of watching the two young guys coordinating the activities interact with the kids. They were awesome and made everything fun for the smallest and oldest kids. The host was a great help to us back in February when were were trying to decide on and book a site. Our site ended up being the best one I saw, we were very happy with it. We rented two of their kayaks to use on the pond, which was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend doing that for sure if you like the water. We honestly couldn't find anything about the campground that we didn't like! We camped at Poland Spring Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Winding River Campground, Mays Landing, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay was for 1 week. The people at the office were friendly and accommodating. The camp store was well stocked and reasonably priced. Aside from that, I was disappointed. Several seasonal sites resembled what you would find in a run-down trailer park: dirt-caked units with "week-end warrior" additions and/or modifications. I've never seen conditions like that in a campground. The pool experiance was surprising to say the least. Adults drinking alcohol in and around the pool(even though it was posted "No Alcohol"), and smoking around the pool with children present ??? There were no activities during the week, the campground turned into a ghost town Monday to Friday at noon. Our per day charge was $56, including $8/day for or daughter, and $4/day for our son. To me, that was steep considering what we found, saw, and was available. We've stayed at other places that offered much more w/o overcharging us for being a "traditional family." We camped at Winding River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tall Pines Campground, Canoeing & Country Store, Bainbridge, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We picked Tall Pines because of a few good reviews and their website made it sound like an ideal place for us to spend a week. I think we were disappointed because in the area where our site was, the campers were stacked on top of one another with no more than 10 feet from our awning. Our site took on water when it rained as the concrete pad we had to park next to sloped in and not away from the door. The bathhouse in our area was unacceptable: the toilet rocked if you sat down on it and it lacked a door for privacy. The rest of the bathhouse did not look like anyone cleaned it. The "new" bathouse by the office was clean and seemed recently built. The seasonal people two sites over must have thought they had the right to walk through our site: until I sat outside with our 85lb dog! The owners had cats that when we were getting ice cream, the cat was walking on the counter right over the open ice cream case ?? That was a turn off. All in all, it wasn't what we expected. We camped at Tall Pines Campground, Canoeing & Country Store in a Travel Trailer.

Oak Creek Campground, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the D Section on site D-26 and found our site to be very comfortable. If it wasn't for the steep hill, we would have given Oak Creek a 10 ! The staff was very friendly and professional. They have a nice well stocked store that is reasonably priced an offers most anything you could need. The restrooms were exceptionaly clean and well maintained. During our stay we had heavy rain that washed out the gravel on a few of the roads. The staff immediately responded with fresh gravel and a tractor to regrade the roads effected. We would definitely stay with them again. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lake George Schroon Valley Resort, Warrensburg, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there for the annual Warrensburg Worlds Largest Garage Sale, and the site we had was perfect. This is the 4th year on a row we stayed there and really don't have any complaints. The camp store looks like everything was being sold out, compared to the previous owners who had it well stocked with supplies and souvenirs. We camped at Lake George Schroon Valley Resort in a Travel Trailer.
