Between Interstate 10 and railroad - would recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Grave narrow sites but long enough to handle the biggest of rigs. Very friendly staff. Used it as an overnight stop and for that purpose it was fine. There are several other RV sites in the area that might be worth checking out.

Date of Stay:

Nice state park, family campground. Some sites are tight so not totally big rig friendly. Not all sites have the same utilities - some have only 30 amp., others no sewage, etc. Make sure you know what you're getting. Park hit hard by Hurricane Katrina and clean-up continues. Would go back as long as I get I site that has what I really want.

Date of Stay:

It was OK, clean but narrow roads and tight backing sites. Road noise from Interstate 10 was very loud - bring earn plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Have stayed here several times, the last one for seven months. Will return. Very friendly staff and a very clean campground. The only reason for not giving a perfect 10 is the road noise from the TWO Interstate highway bridges running down both sides of the campground.

If I were to design a perfect RV Park I would use Bluebonnet as a model. I found the staff extremely friendly and the park in perfect shape. If I were to select a "winter" site in north Texas, this would be it. Although 45 mins from downtown Dallas, it's still close enough to take in the many Big D sights.

Very nice and neat site. Easy to find and close to lots of shopping and eating places. Very quiet. Would stay here again.

A very nice and neat RV park. If you're looking for a pool, playground, etc. this is not the place. This is the perfect one night, two night or even longer if your looking for a nice, clean and inexpensive place to park. Level and Big Rig friendly sites. No traffic noise.

Camped here for the proximity to the Opry nearby. Also liked the fact that Camping World and a major RV outlet with repair shop was right next door! Checked out the other two neighboring parks and picked this one. Its not the best I've stayed in, however sure served it's purpose.

This is a big rig friendly campground. Every site is pull through. My total length (5th wheel, scooter trailer and tow unit) is 59' and I still had room to unhook and was still withing my space. All spaces are level, front to back and side to side. Although near interstate and major highway, traffic noise was not noticeable. Clean and neat. No full time campers. Trash pick-up everyday at your site. RxR at rear but it stops running during the night and there is extremely little noise when it does go through. Within 20 mins of Mammoth Cave and 35 mins of Bowling Green and tons of shopping nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Campground office/store doesn't carry any information on things to do in the area - those places aren't part of the campground therefore they don't keep any information. RV storage area mixed in with campground, kind of hard to tell where one starts and the other ends. Families use this as a base for boating and fishing in near by lake, kids are left do drive around on ATVs on dusty roads. If you just had to have an overnight spot this probably wouldn't be too bad.

Basic facts don't tell the whole story. PULL THROUGH SITES AVAILABLE: YES. (If you have a car with tent in trunk or a small van. Everything else is back in.) 50 AMP SERVICE: YES. (If you are one of 4 seasonal, all other sites are 30.) SEWAGE HOOKUP: YES. (Again if you are one of the seasonals. Otherwise you have to use the dump station which is on a one lane road so if you stop to dump you completely block the road.) BIG RIG ACCESS: YES. (But only if you are really really good at backing.) I changed some of the "yes" answers to "no." Must be the owner filled out the last one. Would I return? Never. Would I recommend this site? Never.

The very best campground I have ever stayed in! A true resort. Clean, very well run, excellent staff. Everything was perfect. Would stay here all summer if possible. This is a MUST visit site if you're in the area.

Date of Stay:

OK campground but if there is rain the whole area turns into one huge mud field.

Date of Stay:

Only stay a week, will be back for a longer visit. Friendly staff, beautiful campground. Nice small lake for swimming. No full timers but several seasonal long units - ALL are very neat and in a separate area. Owner on site.

Date of Stay:

Stayed for one week and although nice the sandy dirt ground cover was a mess when it rained. Most sites have a lot of space and the big rig sites are very good. Would camp here again.
