Hillbilly Campground, Maggie Valley, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly & helpful staff with interesting store. Great central location in Maggie Valley--walk almost anywhere for local dining/retail, but street is extremely wide & busy--kids & pets beware. Campground is about 50% seasonal/full-timers & sites are fairly small but level. Will probably return--love the area & the $24 includes all taxes, etc. We camped at Hillbilly Campground in a Motorhome.

Edisto Beach State Park, Edisto Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Edisto in winter is fun--if, like us you live near enough to watch the weather for "nice, long weekends". Crowds and prices are low & the beach wide and warm. Edisto Beach State Park is great--nice, wide campsites, majestic live oaks, beach w/ pier--who needs cable of wi-fi?? Walk to GOOD restaurants & retail. Will always return & you will too. We camped at Edisto Beach State Park in a Motorhome.
