Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort, Empire, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great park near Sleeping Bear Dunes! Many seasonal campers but all folks from front office to nearby campers were very friendly. Sites were wide, long and level...but be aware of dense shade so pretty dark even in the daytime. Cable TV would be a definite plus. That being said it is a very restful park! We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

EZ Kamp, Grovertown, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

New owners as of April 2014. By their own admission, they were unaware of how to run a campground but are open to suggestions. We stayed 3 nights to visit friends in nearby Culver so didn't use any facilities. From the road it looks like a lovely park but many of the sites haven't been used in months. No gravel or concrete pads, tables, etc. Pool was being redone so not usable. Roads not well marked and office is hard to find. Felt the $30 + tax very high for what we received. Will check out other options when next in the area. We camped at EZ Kamp in a Fifth Wheel.

Exceptionally clean park that tried to think of everything an RVer would need to make their stay comfortable. Office staff were very friendly as was the young man that showed us to our site. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arkadelphia Campground, Arkadelphia, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Immaculately clean restrooms, laundry, clubhouse which is contrary to previous review. The pool was not open yet but looked adequate for the size of the park. The cable TV was excellent and the Verizon reception was as well. Sites and roads are gravel and need some refreshing but aren't objectionable. Road noise was not a problem as long as windows are closed. Would stay here again when passing through. We camped at Arkadelphia Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rolling Hills RV Park, Calera, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Winding road to campground/conference center was narrow but decent, but the road to the office was abysmal!!! If I'd had false teeth, they'd have been on the floor!!! No way of dodging potholes either. Site was adequate for an overnight stay (which was in a specific area for overnighters) but had to level with boards and couldn't pull forward to turn when leaving because of post, tree across the way, etc. Luckily we were able to back up. Would look for another option if ever in the area again. We camped at Rolling Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 3 nights as we enjoyed the area. Easy in and out, level sites, good internet/phone reception, nice staff. Will definitely be back...but not in summer! Spring and fall must be better! We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

What a gem! Everything an RVer could look for in a campground! Sites were large and level, easy access from major highway, very pleasant staff, free veggies, and extremely quiet. Stayed overnight but could have stayed much longer! If ever wanting to add anything, a hot tub would be a nice touch. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Robinson State Park, Crawford, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We have not stayed at many state parks, but Nebraska has done a wonderful job with designing excellent accommodations. Ft. Robinson (Red Cloud CG) has very spacious sites, asphalt paved roads and sites and they are easy to back into! The park itself is a treasure trove with two historical museums, riding stables, jeep tours, wagon and stagecoach rides, swimming pool and a restaurant. We stayed for six nights and never had to leave the park as there was always something we could do there. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful; the grounds were well maintained. For all this we were able to ignore the throngs of grasshoppers. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Windmill State Recreation Area, Gibbon, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

What a gem!!! The managers have done a wonderful job! For a state park we felt like we were on someone's private estate. Lawns were manicured, restrooms, showers and laundry were very clean, sites were either concrete pads or asphalt (on the edge of the road) and very spacious. Office personnel were extremely pleasant and accommodating. We had paid for an annual park pass ($20) so didn't include that as part of the daily fee. We stayed 7 nights so we could see attractions in the area and will definitely stop again when traveling I-80. We camped at Windmill State Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

J & C RV Park, Alliance, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely little campground...very well maintained, level sites, full hookups convenient. The sites are side by side but there is more than ample room for slideouts. It is on the west side of town at the intersection of Rt. 2 and 385 within a short distance of the rail yards. Since we have found few parks that aren't close to railroad tracks, we didn't mind the noise. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative as there are some museums and attractions worth the 3 night stay. We camped at J & C RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park to spend a night or three! It is right off I-40 but we heard no traffic noise. Everything was clean and tidy, sites were all pull through on gravel and the office staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The Petro-station was a block down, making it easy to fuel up and have dinner. Would definitely stay again when in the area. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Silverado RV Resort (formerly Desert Valley RV Resort), Eloy, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

What a great park! We had a pull through site which was more than ample. Though we could see I-10 from our rig, the road noise was no problem at all, contrary to other reviews mentioned. The office staff was very friendly and efficient, and we felt most welcomed. When walking through the park, others we chatted with were very pleased with the park and most were planning on returning next fall. The facilities were extremely clean and there was a full calendar of activities including movies and popcorn that evening. We are planning on returning next fall for the winter season. We camped at Silverado RV Resort (formerly Desert Valley RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Red River Ranch RV Resort, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America park...like an oasis in the flat of OK! Very clean, easy to access from the highway, sites are large and pull through for short-termers. The lady in the office very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when in the area as the WalMart and shopping area in Gainesville TX was about 10 miles away. We would have given the park a 10 if the huge potholes were fixed. We camped at Red River Ranch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

W.H. Lyon Fairground, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

No signage for RV park!!! After following directions in Trailer Life CG Guide, we phoned for directions and someone came out on his bike to lead us to the park. Sites were large and easy to back into but with no amenities available, we felt that $25 was way too high for a one night's stay! We camped at W.H. Lyon Fairground in a Fifth Wheel.

Albert Lea / Austin KOA, Ada, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived in the late afternoon for a one night's stay. The young lady in the office was very pleasant but informed us that the water was being flushed out and we probably shouldn't drink it. Also, there was a sign on the door saying that the pool was closed for maintenance. I asked if there was a lower rate for mid-week and reduced availability of amenities. She smiled and said "no" but she would pass on our concerns to the owner. $35 was very high for a place to park overnight, and campground owners complain when we stay at Walmart and Flying J! This is one of the reasons why! KOA properties have disappointed us 95% of the time for just these reasons. It's sad since they could have much going for them! We camped at Albert Lea / Austin KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
