Whispering Meadow RV Park, Westlake, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

What a friendly place! The owners treat you like kin. Would give it a 10 if they had cable and a pool. It had very spacious lots with pull thrus for big rigs. No shade trees but with the awning it was no big deal. Extremely clean. Had real grass. No grassburrs. Great if you have pets. I guess the road noise didn't bother me because I always stay near the beaten path. Very close to casinos which is nice. Would definitely stay here again and again. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given a 10 rating except for a few things. WiFi was very weak. Had to cross my fingers every time I would try to log on. Also, the water pressure was extremely poor. The pool was closed the whole time and that is one thing I wanted. You don't necessarily want to be on the beach for the whole week you are there. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We stayed in the upper park area. It was well worth the price. Very shady and comfortable spot. We have a 40 foot rig so our steps came out onto the grassy area instead of the pad which seems to be made more for a fifth wheel. But it was OK with a little rug. Would definitely stay here again. The beach was just picturesque. Beautiful. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Dallas / Arlington KOA, Arlington, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The one thing that would make this park a 10 would be if they had better water pressure. Might not be something they can fix if it is the city. This park had the best dog run I have seen. It was really big. Larger dogs had room to run. Really friendly staff. They were very nice during a very hectic Holiday Season. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Motorhome.

Hwy 71 RV Park, Cedar Creek, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The newer part of the park has large shaded sites. The Wi-Fi worked well. The rest rooms were clean, as were the showers. The swimming pool was nice. The pad site was fairly level, they were gravel. The roads were in the process of being paved. The park seems to have a lot of long term rentals. Overall the park is very nice. The park also has laundry facilities and a meeting hall, both of which we did not use. We camped at Hwy 71 RV Park in a Motorhome.
