Sunset Point on Lake LBJ, Marble Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice campground. The staff is friendly. The area is quiet and right on a lake. The only negative I have, is it was 105 degrees when we camped there, which was brutally hot. We camped at Sunset Point on Lake LBJ in a Motorhome.

Osage Beach RV Park, Osage Beach, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is geared for the 65 and over folks. The management staff has a low tolerance for children and runs the campground like an army general. In my view should not be in the hospitality business. Sites are somewhat narrow and graveled. However, there is a real problem with ticks in the campground. We camped at Osage Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timberline Campground, Waukee, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has the potential to be a beautiful place. It does not appear to adequately maintained. We just stayed here overnight so I may be jumping to the wrong conclusion. The site we were assigned to was covered in dog droppings which was not very welcoming. We camped at Timberline Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. It is well maintained and staff are constantly on patrol for any irregularities. It does get real crowded on weekends. We camped at Town & Country RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Hi-Pines Campground, Eagle River, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We made our reservations for a week on two sites side by side back in February 2009. However, when we checked in we were given sites at opposite ends of a field. Priority on one of the sites was given to somebody for a one night stay for the beer fest. No sewer, even though the web site indicates sewers. They are for seasonal campers only. I will not be back. We camped at Hi-Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

Country Village RV Park, Ishpeming, Michigan

Very nice park close to shopping and also an RV dealer and service area which, were very helpful with service to my RV. I was concerned about the security in the campground. There appeared to be a number of cars not registered cruising the campground. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Cumberland RV Park, Bronston, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is nice and serene. However, unless you have a boat there is not much to do in this area. The indoor pool is a blessing but, for young children there is a definite lack of activity. I was disappointed with the upkeep of the campground. There was one trash bin for the entire campground. Since we were there over the July 4th weekend the campground was at maximum capacity and a trailer was brought in to handle the extra trash. However, this did not quench the foul smell of trash which overtook the area in one day. I will not return. We camped at Lake Cumberland RV Park in a Motorhome.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground. It is close to downtown Charleston. There are plenty of activities within the park and around the campground. There is a nice level bike trail and a water park. In addition there is lots of beautiful meadows for some tranquil evenings. It can be very hot in the area and some high humidity. I would go back again. The staff is very friendly. We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

This park is very nice. Its a large park, plenty of room to move around. There is room to bicycle ride. However the gravel can throw you at times. I would stay here again. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Motorhome.
