Comstock Country RV Resort, Carson City, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Clean facilities, friendly staff, mostly long termers (75%). Across the street is Costco. Lots of highway noise, but some mitigation from noise by highground and fences. Very busy corner, but convenient at intersection of Hwys 395 and 50. Spent one night on way through to Reno and beyond. Camp store with limited supplies and ice. Wifi in office at nice break area. We camped at Comstock Country RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Coloma Resort, Coloma, California

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Many waterfront sites. Narrow, but all have tables and shade trees. Waterfront sites do not have sewer. One-sided dump station can get busy at the end of a weekend. River access is at the upper end of the park only, and there is a steep bank from sites down to river. Large camp, with many permanent tents for school groups that come for wilderness training and ropes course. Do not trust your GPS directions from Highway 50. Get directions from the park. We camped at Coloma Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Almond Tree RV Park, Chico, California

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A very clean and fresh park. It had great shower/restroom facilities. The grounds were well maintained. Large, mature trees provided shade: necessary in the hot summers of Chico. Not picturesque, but its downtown location was convenient. An oldtimer next to us commented that this was "the best park in the region." We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bozeman Hot Springs Campground (formerly Bozeman KOA), Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi signal weak. Had to sit in the laundry room to get a signal. Has kid "water playground". During season, LOTS of children squealing and splashing in pool, and a public pool next door, so during the day, it's noisy. We camped at Bozeman Hot Springs Campground (formerly Bozeman KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Willow Bay Recreation Area, American Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Older park. Well maintained. Bathrooms clean, but showing wear. Most sites have view of lake over public boat-launch-ramp. No wifi, nor plans to add. When I asked the hostess about wifi, she said, "you can use my computer inside, if you need to just check your email." We camped at Willow Bay Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Casini Ranch Family Campground, Duncans Mills, California

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Cordial hosts. Easy check-in. Large park with a variety of "levels" from dry to full. Best sites (river) are elec/water. Full are up on high-ground. Although they state that they have wifi throughout the park, it's weak, and you have to go to office to get signal. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
