Route 66 RV Ranch (formerly Sundown RV Resort), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Just stopped for the night while passing through. Called about 2 hrs out and staff waited on us. Very nice staff, with easy access pull through sites. Experienced 8" of rain that night! The good news is that the rain covered the interstate noise. Laundry room was very clean. No cable TV. We would stay here again. We camped at Route 66 RV Ranch (formerly Sundown RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Limped in here late after a long bad day! Had blowout that damaged trailer earlier on the interstate nearby. Staff very nice, lots easily accessible and level, but it was very windy! Staff sent us to a restaurant where we met a couple that knew a tire manager that opened at 6 AM on a SUNDAY MORNING at Kansasline Tire in Hayes, KS, just to sell us tires and a wheel. Recommend them highly. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground. Stayed one night passing through. Easy access to interstate, with shady pull through level lots, and nice staff. Would stay again. Don't know what to do in area, as we got in late and left early. Would stay here again. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Snowy Peaks RV Park, Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We dropped in w/o reservations on June 30th to stay a day and liked it enough to stay a week. Staff was very nice with organized events. We attended the 4th of July fireworks, a car show and a street dance in the City of Buena Vista. The way the staff parks you, you do have a long ways to the hook-ups, but the view is worth it. We found it very quiet and pleasant (even when full), plenty of shade, level lots and wide streets. The only shortcoming was the poor WiTi. BTW: there is excellent fresh baked, french bread at City Market every afternoon at 4,5, and 6pm. We camped at Snowy Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
