Lakeland RV Resort, Lakeland, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

In all my years full timing, I have never encountered an RV park like this! I tired to go for xmas & started calling in Nov - no answer & no return calls! I did go in Jan. It was to back in site, I said, fine as long as they would "spot" me in - they said they do not do this! I asked for directions off the highway - they said they do not provide that! Not one staff member was polite, helpful or even smiled! tried to overcharge me several times! We camped at Lakeland RV Resort in a Motorhome.

River Bottom Farms RV Resort - Jellystone, Swansea, South Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, with nice walking area, except for loose dogs. The park employees don't/aren't available to fill propane very often. Many of the long term residents are loud, belligerent drunks. We camped at River Bottom Farms RV Resort - Jellystone in a Motorhome.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Incredibly small, tight, packed park! Roads were set up well for turns. Sites were long enough to squeeze in without unhooking tow vehicle, but everyone in Texas drives 2 or 3 duallys and the feeling of the park was claustrophobic, cramped, packed in. Park is next to Motel 6 - was very noisy the night I stopped. Probably would have been quieter and had more space spending the night at a truck stop. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly We camped at Abilene KOA in a Motorhome.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Poor layout, trashy looking, badly in need of maintenance, I saw no evidence of 50amp, sites & roads too small for 40ft towing a vehicle - had to unhook to try to get into a site for the night, no assitance offered by staff, staff not knowledgeable, hook ups so old had to use bungee cords to hold the power cord in, stray cats and wild life fighting, mating & raiding trash all night. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA), Florence, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Plenty of space to walk - in and out of trash piles, liter, dumps (washers, couches, tvs, etc) and dog messes. Plenty of loose dogs. Catch and release pond - filled by the dumping of the RV's tanks. Neighbors caught a duck from the pond and butchered it on a picnic table nearby and cooked it in their fire pit that night, same with fish, from the 'catch & release' pond. Long term renters throw food waste & fish waste right out the door or kitchen window - encourages raccoons, fox and strays to visit. Park is over run with squirrels who eat wiring and lawn chairs. Incessant noise from the highway 24/7 AND the asphalt plant behind the park. Run by very rude people who have never RV'd or camped before. Wifi & cable rarely work. I overheard a customer complaining to the manager that the cable at his site didn't work, the owner replied - "Use your antena!" and stalked off. Several single women left because the manager drives around in his truck and looks in windows. Inhabited by drunks who fight loudly most of the time and drive drunk - one hit my electric hook up - which was never repaired or replaced. A true taste of "trailer park" living. Suppose it would be ok for overnight on the way somewhere. We camped at Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA) in a Motorhome.
