More to like: new electrics, new sewer, clean TESTED water. Mostly seasonal (some sites still available), but two waterview sites are weekly rental: and some overnight sites may be available. Check their website for accurate pictures. NOT a "resort," but this place IS "Maine" as it should be.

There were lots of 40 footers when I was here, mine too! I had a great waterview site. The campground has new electric and sewer, apparently a problem in recent years. The feel is like being back in 1971: very laid-back and peaceful. I saw no signs of tough guys or tough dogs (read previous reviews). Cedar Key is wonderful: check the YouTubes about it! Loved the $20. airplane rides! This is like no place else in Florida: a must see. This RV Park is perfect.

I had one of the excellent, newer, premium sites. High on a hill, overlooking the entrance to Boothbay Harbor - there's lots to watch. VERY difficult to reach the site - cars at rental cabins in the roadway - turns and trees - but, I made it. Beach front sites have no sewer. Dock and small beach are definitively "Maine" and lovely! If THAT is what you're looking for, you'll love this place. Sites away from the water aren't so great, but I loved my stay.

The previous poster did not stay at Orr's in 2008! Currently, only two back-in sites are rented non-seasonal (weekly only) - both have direct ocean views and easy parking for appropriate, allowed rigs. Being on an island in the ocean, AC is rarely used - this year, temps haven't exceeded the low 80's in daytime and low 70's at night. The very long private campground beach is pebbles and sand - there is a swimming float and dock. The "feel" is more like 1950's that modern resort "camping" - and people expecting more will be happier elsewhere. I suggest using GOOGLE Map, Satellite Image for a better idea. Pictures on the campground website are (unusual for such a venue) completely accurate - not carefully picked shots! The island itself is amazing - barely any traffic - no lines for anything - it's as it was when I visited as a child many decades ago! If you can get a site - put up with the oddities of the place, and you'll never forget the experience!

$70 for the BEST sites, but probably worth it. Groomed roads, shady and somewhat private sites - ocean and ICW beaches - with free parking! Tightly run. WI-FI worked only inside office! My personal favorite in the area!

Lovely new "physical plant" - flat field location, some trees - drainage pond "Lake" surrounded by storage old campers and work trucks. Scary "full time residents", VERY unpleasant office closes at 5:00 PM - (at a KOA?), and a security force of senior citizen relatives patrol with a passion. Sunset Beach is worth the drive, and I didn't find anyplace nearby - but I'll probably never return to this KOA. A change of management is needed!
