Gulf Coast RV Resort (formerly River Lodge RV Resort), Inglis, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

recently the park was sold by the bank and is now "Gulf Coast RV Resort" but old website is down and new one is not online yet. Most sites are very roomy, wifi is free but can be unpredictable. We have stayed there each winter for several winters and are staying again this winter. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort (formerly River Lodge RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf Coast RV Resort (formerly River Lodge RV Resort), Inglis, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here the last few winters and plan on returning again this fall. Good sized sites. very friendly office staff, very easy to work with. Wi-Fi and cable are great. No-see-ums can be annoying at times. Few activities and no clubhouse. Good big dog run. Good hookups with no extra charges. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort (formerly River Lodge RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Pickens Campground, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a good campground; some of the sites are not very long so when you book a site pick a site that is long enough. Access roads are narrow. Sites can be hard to get into and some sites the tow vehicle or auto barely fit. They do have several areas for overflow parking. Nice beaches and interesting historic forts and gun batteries. It was very wet when we were there; some sites were poorly drained. We were not sorry we went, but probably will not return. It would be a great place to camp in the summer to access the beach. We camped at Fort Pickens Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Highway 86 Campground, Blue Eye, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Sites have been redone since last review. Sites are roomy and all have a view of the lake, most shaded. Lots of room to park boats and extra vehicles in boat launch lot and sometimes on site. Easy drive to Branson. Friendly hosts. Showers do not always have enough hot water and no sewer hookups, otherwise would have been a 10. We camped at Old Highway 86 Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bethel FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Hampton, Virginia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were mostly being used long term. We were only there for one night. Our site was dirt and had an inch or two of water on it when it rained. Never did see campground host. Bathrooms and showers were clean. We camped at Bethel FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Gulf Coast RV Resort (formerly River Lodge RV Resort), Inglis, Florida

Back for our 3rd winter at this park. Large sites, great cable, Wi-Fi and 50 amps included in the $500 monthly rate. Very friendly staff. Not crowded at all, give this place a try. Near great walking trails, boat launches and shopping but in a rural setting. Just north of Crystal River, Fl. between the Withlacoochee River and the barge canal. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort (formerly River Lodge RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Baxter Campground, Lampe, Missouri

Would have rated a 10 if they had sewer hookups. Plenty of room for the 40 ft motorhome on many sites. Nice private bath/showers. Price was $10.50 with senior access pass. Marina next door rents boats and slips. Most sites have 50 amp and water. Very nice peacefull campground. Recently upgraded. We camped at Baxter Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed there all winter, good big sites, friendly staff. Will be back next winter. Monthly rate is $500. No see ums are a bit annoying but that is common near the water. CG is near good walking paths and several boat launches. They have storage for boat trailers. Located between Withlachoocee river and the barge canal on HW19. Mark Twain Landing, Monroe City, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very good park. The staff are nice and helpful. The sites are paved and well kept. The only bad thing is the rules are not for everyone. Some let their dogs out and do NOT put a leash on them. The speed limit is for cars only. If you have a golf cart you may speed. Will go here again just not on a weekend. They need to enforce the leash law on the dogs. We camped at Mark Twain Landing in a Fifth Wheel.
