This park was clean and well cared for. We have a 35' 5th wheel and we fit in a back in site (we had to park our truck in the overflow parking though. However, beware of the sprinklers! We had people with us who were staying in a tent (probably one that the previous reviewer complained about!), the park provided us with buckets to cover the sprinkler heads, but they had no idea where the actual heads were. It took three nights for our tent guests to find all the sprinklers that were soaking them every morning! I also spoke with another guest who said that the sprinklers were soaking the under side of his slide. I would bring a LOT of mosquito repellent if you stay here - the mosquitoes were horrendous. That being said, we were actually impressed with the condition of the park and quite satisfied with our stay until our last night. It was evening time and our dogs were barking at people walking by so I was headed out the door to put them away because I didn't want them to disturb other campers. At the same time I was approached by the managers and told that they needed to talk to me about the dogs. I was more than willing. They said that they had some complaints about the dogs barking. I apologized, told them I understood, and that I was trying to take care of the problem at that exact time. They continued to insist that I didn't understand and that I had to do something about the barking. The more I tried to apologize and comply they more the male manager yelled at me, got aggressive, and began to get threatening. This was the first time any of their staff had spoken to me or my family about the dogs barking and I was trying desperately to communicate that I understood and was sorry and wanted to make it better. I left a comment when we left explaining that I felt that I was treated poorly. A couple weeks later I received something in the mail from the park. Instead of an apology it was a copy of another campers comments that said that my dogs had been barking (I never denied that my dogs were barking, just had a problem with how the managers handled the problem). The comments also highlighted another set of dogs that I know were not my dogs, but I believe that I was getting blamed for that as well. Anyway, my issue is not that they were unhappy about my barking dogs (I feel bad that my dogs were barking as they are not usually barkers). The hostile and harassing way I was treated caused me and my family EXTREME distress. It all but ruined my family vacation and I honestly lost sleep over it. Although this was a very clean and well cared for park I would not recommend that anybody stay here. I saw at least two other negative comments about the manager on this site. And as one of them said, "it if can happen to us, it can happen to anybody". I will never stay here again and I will tell everybody I know to stay away.

We enjoyed our stay at Hell's Gate State Park. We were staying in a site with no power, but it was still large enough for our rig. The river and trail access was great. The kids loved the large grass area to play in and we didn't feel crowded at all with other sites around us.

We enjoyed our stay at Jellystone. The bathrooms were fabulous and the facilities were very nice. We only stayed one night so we were disappointed that we didn't get to use more of the amenities. Our only complaint was that the sign by the road was not large enough or well enough lit.
