Beachfront RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park is, basically, a parking lot with rather narrow sites. It's big selling point is the ocean. We were in a site with a great view - although there is a bit of traffic and drive through activity. We stayed a week and did day-trips up the coast. We camped at Beachfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Twin Rivers Vacation Park, Roseburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful park-like setting with large level sites. There is a community park within walking distance and access to the river and a beautiful garden. The staff was helpful and the park was well-kept. Wi-Fi was not available at our site, but was available at the club house. We stayed here one night and would stay again in the future. We camped at Twin Rivers Vacation Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park in the past. It is convenient to the freeway, but far enough away not to have any traffic noise. The grounds are well maintained with nice sites. We did day trips to Glacier National Park. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ellsworth AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $20.00

This is a FamCamp site restricted to military families. It is well maintained, convenient to base services with friendly staff and a good anchor location for visiting the Black Hills, the Badlands, and other sites in the area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Ellsworth AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Pine View Campground -FamCamp (Open to the Public), Fort McCoy, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a adjacent to Ft McCoy and is a private facility which gives a discount to Military members and retirees. Weekend and holiday rates are at a premium, and we felt over priced. It is a very rustic site and quite a distance from the main road. We probably wouldn't stay here again. It just isn't worth the price for the activities we like to do. We camped at Pine View Campground -FamCamp (Open to the Public) in a Motorhome.

This was a cute campground with lots of little, creative, decorative touches, but definitely over priced. The sites were mostly grass. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Park Manor (CLOSED), Aubrey, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This campground amounts to a few spaces adjacent to mostly manufactured homes development. Most of the residents appear to be transient. The sites are small, grass, uneven, and there are no amenities. Unfortunately, we paid in advance and when our situation changed they refused to refund our money, so our stay, actually, cost us $40. per night. We would never stay here again. We camped at Lincoln Park Manor (CLOSED) in a Motorhome.

This park is OK for a stop-over. It is just off the freeway, has grass/gravel sites, and had what appeared to be several sites with transient populations. We camped at Whip In RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park has dusty, gravel and rock sites with no landscaping to speak of. We stayed here as an anchor site to visit the Big Bend National Park. We would try to find another site if we are in this area again. We camped at Marathon Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great place, but it is restricted to Military families. We very much enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly, things are well maintained and secure. Access to base facilities were convenient, and it was a good experience that we plan on repeating as, frequently, as possible. We camped at Agave Gulch FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.
