Dreher Island State Recreation Area, Prosperity, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The state park is absolutely beautiful, we spotted deer and a lot of other smaller wildlife. Lots of great waterfronts and forest around. The site was lake front, with a BBQ/fire spot and picnic table, and we were able to swim rather privately from it. We camped at Dreher Island State Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Walkabout Camp & RV Park, Woodbine, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight, attracted by the list of amenities, rather positive reviews, and its proximity to the coastline and highway. The reception was not unfriendly but not warming either. The pool was closed. When we returned from eating out at 7pm, we found that in fact everything was closed by then, including the gate. The sites were grassy which makes it somewhat uncomfortable to walk on, after a fair rain. The Wi-Fi worked well. If you have a discount it could be okay. We paid full price and noticed there are cheaper and nicer situated campgrounds a little closer to the state parks on the coast. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blueberry Hill RV Resort, Bushnell, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Out of 10 parks, this was the best we've stayed at in terms of amenities. The bath house is extremely beautiful and clean. The pool is big, as is the clubhouse, where you can play pool on one of four tables, check out books in the large library, or relax in front of big TV screen. The one thing that makes this a 9 and not a 10 is the relatively small space on the sides of the RV, where usually you find a picnic table. Nevertheless this gets a big recommendation for an overnight stay! We camped at Blueberry Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.
