We stayed with a group of 5 sites. We were accommodated and placed next to each other. We were on site 80 with water & electric. It is a nicely shaded site next to a stream/creek that my kids enjoyed. Garbage pick up at your site each morning. Love Knoebel's. This is a yearly outing for us and we can't say enough good things about lake Glory. We also really Love the new store/game room.

We have stayed here numerous times to visit Knoebel's Amusement Park. We would not be coming here if it weren't for the theme park. It is a basic, fun place to hang when not at the park. They offer a free shuttle we have never used: just as easy to drive the 5 minutes and park for free. They are building an impressive new camp store. There is a stream that meanders through the campground. My kids love wading in and catching crayfish. A pool would make this place ideal. We would go to the park down the road, but they do not allow tents and a few of our friends that go with us tent camp. We stayed on Knoebel's Drive, site 80. Had a small stream and shade. We will be back for the park!

Our rate reflects Halloween/Holiday weekend pricing for full hookup site. We were in the back near the horse corrals. VERY quiet and great camping. They have certainly expanded since we were here 3 years ago. Plenty to do. We camped without our kids but have decided to bring them next October. We went on a 2 hour guided horseback tour of the battlefield that departs from the National Stables on the campground property. My husband is a civil war history buff so we have been to G'burg many times. He said the tour was basic. We thought it was a great vantage point to see the battlefield. We will return as we have no complaints.

We just returned from our first stay here. We will return! I wish it was not 3 hours from home. We were there for the Pirate weekend. What great events for families! The activities really brought the campground together. The hosts were very accommodating and everyone was friendly. Our kids did not want to leave. They voted this the best campground playground. It is a very clean, well maintained, landscaped campground. It would have been a 10 for us but we felt the sites were a little too close for our liking. We stayed on site 25 on the trickle stream. It was an end site so it was a bit roomier than most. We were here to visit the Army Heritage Museum- 15 minutes from campground- free and terrific for any American History buff!

We booked a week here after enjoying a stay for Mother's Day Weekend. We reserved site R6 (best in the whole place). It definitely fills up on the weekends. Not all sites are as private and quiet as ours. I can see some sites being noisy and on top of each other which is nice when camping with friends but not with "strangers". All staff and seasonals very friendly and their children included mine in the daily activities. We will book a week again next summer, maybe even two! Honey wagon (pump out) service was $5. Can't say enough about this great campground.

This was our second stay here at site I 54. I would suggest a site on the outside of the loop- dune side. We LOVE it. One loop with electric and a new loop that is dog friendly but very small. Cool to see dogs on their end of the beach playing in the waves with their owners. There is no comparison for beach camping. We did invest in a generator due to the extreme heat wave this year. We are glad we did. It did reach 97 on the beach. Thank goodness for the ocean breeze! The bugs were not horrible due to the breeze. Mosquito's made an appearance almost each night at dinner time. Repellent is a must, be prepared. Horses were everywhere this trip- many more than last time. We are booking for next summer- you must book in advance. This is a dream location for beach lovers.

Just returned from our second stay at Colonial Woods. We LOVE it here! We were in a spacious, creek side site (R6). Everyone very friendly.

We have visited Elk Neck, Chester Loop site 247, for two years in a row. The campground was virtually empty during the week. It did fill up on the weekend. We were beginning to think the new "dry" alcohol status had brought an attendance decline to this great park, but Rangers insisted they had been pretty full all summer so far. We attended the free programs and craft time in the Nature Center to our kids enjoyment. We might try the full hook up NorthEast loop next time. Turkey Point Lighthouse was great. Nice laundry room and snack bar/camp store. Very helpful staff in park. Rangers made frequent patrols. Nice hot showers but only two in each bathroom for the whole loop made it necessary to wait, and they were dirty by evening from the constant use.

It was a different type of site. You park parallel on the blacktop to your site as previous posters have mentioned. This allows more use of the sand and scrubby pine shaded site but it was odd to have "backyard" neighbors as well as neighbors to the sides. This has potential if camping with friends to "open up" facing each other. Rangers did patrol daily. It was a short bike ride to the walk-in beach access (NEVER crowded). You had to drive to the "boardwalk"access. There was a neat WW2 observation tower, Fort Miles, and other military areas open to the public with tours available. The nature center was great! If you do not want to pack your bike, the Friends of Cape Henlopen (At Nature Center) have bikes available to borrow for up to 2 hours- for free. Awesome biking trails- all paved. The showers were mopped twice daily but not CLEANED. They were push button operated- water ran for less then a minute every push. We would stay here again.

We just returned from our second trip to Camp Taylor. This is one of our favorite places to relax. We stayed in site 66 again, right on the stream. Our children love to find salamanders and catch frogs. This trip we used the pond swimming beach and mini golf. All were satisfactory. Our camping loop was 99% capacity but our spacious secluded campsite offered us some solitude. Lots of families camping with early rising, noisy kids. I try hard to keep mine inside and quiet (hard to do with neighboring kids playing soccer at 7 AM). We will hopefully return this Fall. The wolves were quiet due to the heat.

Just returned from our first stay at Colonial Woods. We can't wait to return! It was a great weekend. We were on Washington Ave (W12). Site was level but all big rock. Our site was spacious: most are. The pool was great for all ages: the 1 ft. splash pool and the 3-6 ft. regular pool were a big hit for our kids (3-5-8). We are booking again for August. Great campground for kid biking (nice paved roads in transient side of campground), good fishing pond, playground, and mini golf. Everyone was pleasant and quiet. Many dogs and all were well behaved. This is just the place to take them. It is very shaded and not much grass can be found. Not too many people left their campsite with their dog. Our dog needed some grass. So glad we found this gem close to our home!

This is only 20 minutes from our home and it has taken us 2 years to get here! I wish we had come sooner. We biked the tow path to Stockton and crossed the bridge to Dilly's Corner. What an amazing weekend skipping rocks on the Delaware and hiking & biking the beautiful area. We cannot wait to come back. We choose site 15 as other reviewers said it was spacious. We agree. It was near the bath/shower house and was close to the path to the river. We will come again. Most everyone was friendly, no rif-raf. Great family camping! Finally a place in Jersey we would venture back too.

We just returned from our first trip to Blue Rocks. This is a nice family campground with a nice pool, good playground and the stream was fun. The Blue Rock glacial boulder field was really cool to see. A new snack bar has been added this year. Great prices. Most of the park seems to be seasonal: not too many camper sites for weekenders. There were a lot of tent campers. Great people here. There was a small store and game room. We were in site 146 (W&E) on the stream, nearby all activities. Our site was level and shaded but our camper was right along the main road. We did open up to the stream which was beautiful. Bath houses are few and far between. The bathhouse near the store saw a lot of traffic and was muddy due to the light rain we had day before. Great hiking and nearby attractions: Crystal Cave, Mid Atlantic Air Museum. We would stay here again.

Whoa. Where to start? I will try to be factual in this review. Pros: Shaded, huge sites, tons of free kids activities (even midweek), nice staff. Cons: showers are cold, dirty, and push button (10 second water flow so a 1 handed shower). I can tolerate a lot of dirt but I can't stand when things are broken or missing (handles for showers, non-flushing toilets, lights out for 3+ days) especially for $49 a night. I should be able to take a hot shower! We finally left one night early due to rude, vulgar neighbors. Management was apologetic and gave one nights credit. It can be a lot of fun with friends but is a rowdy kind of camping we are not used to. This was wet & wild weekend- water gun fun but that was ruined for us. We wouldn't have returned even if we didn't have the neighbors. It is not our type of campground.

Wow. We have added this location to our see again list. We LOVED this aprk. We had ponies in our site two of our three nights. It was amazing to hear waves as you slept at night- to walk to a "private" never- crowded beach, all for $30 a night is awesome. The views and biking were great. Terrific ladies in nature center. Great activities for the kids. Bathrooms were not great but they were heavily used. Mosquitoes were as expected. Bring sunscreen & bug spray. No shade. Bring your own. Camp store had little to nothing and expensive. Beautiful. So glad we got here. Book early so you will not need to move sites to complete your stay.
