Azle RV Park, Springtown, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best campground in the area. The new owners are very friendly and work hard to keep the park looking good. We enjoyed the nature trail and dog walk, we even had deer behind our RV one morning. There are no bathrooms which may not suit everyone but the laundry had new machines which were clean and tidy. Free WiFi too. We camped at Azle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Oaks RV Park, Plattsburgh, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rating of 1 is too high. We attempted to stay here as Passport America guests and were so rudely treated by the owner at the check-in office that we were forced to leave. The "gentleman" expressed the view that Passport America guests were nothing but trouble and didn't want to have anything to do with them. He resented our presence, treated us badly and we left without checking in. I hope no other travellers experience this terrible attitude and customer treatment. I would never go there or recommend this campground to anyone. We camped at Shady Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice park with friendly owners. Good size sites with lots of shade trees. Good recreational fishing and swimming in the private lake. Plenty to do and see in the area, we came for a week and stayed for 2 months. We camped at Timberline Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Elkhorn Campground, Frankfort, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2005 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

A quiet, pleasant and well maintained campground. An easy 5 miles from the interstate and a good base for exploring the capital city, including distilleries and chocolate factory. The shower rooms are being remodelled but are clean and tidy. We would return again if in the area. We camped at Elkhorn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
