Noise from interstate. Sites are confusing, but owner brings you to site. Staff is friendly. Sites a little cramped, but seems the norm around this area for private campgrounds. A little pricey, but it is a good spot for exploring this area of Virginia. Would stay again.

Our rate reflects Passport America. It was one PA park I was not disappointed in. We have a 35 ft fifth wheel and we fit fine. I am not sure if larger rigs can fit, call ahead and ask. If they are not crowded they will let you use two sites, that will create a pull through. Surprisingly clean and neat for a mobile home park. Nice quiet mobile home park. It is predominantly retired folks. It is well kept, about 8 mi from the boardwalk and casinos. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. Rating dropped because sites were unlevel and no cable. I would definitely stay here again.

Date of Stay:

The rating should be 4 1/2 stars. Deducted only because we had Wi-Fi problems and the sites were not paved. The price was reasonable compared to what we have payed in other campgrounds in this area. Great place to stay while at DC. Staff very accommodating. It could be extremely cramped if full and folks parked all over. There is some highway noise, but my husband's $1000 noise maker (bedroom AC) drowned that out. Would definitely stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Typical KOA, plenty for kids. The rate is typically $6 more when you add the resort fee to use amenities. There was 1 toilet and shower in the big rig area. You had to use restrooms by the office for other area. Wi-Fi wouldn't work because it was wet. The electric box had receptacle recessed so we had to force our plug in. Rating reflects lack of good Wi-Fi and bathrooms.

OK if you are in a pinch and need a place to stay for the night. Expensive for what you get. Old permanent trailers in park. They do have excellent cable reception and AT&T cell service available. If Wi-Fi is available we did not use. Definitely big rig friendly. Gravel, mostly grass and dirt sites. Not well kept. I would only stay again if I had no other choice.

Only gave a 7, because it was just a bare bones campground. The WiFi only reached a few sites. We have ATT and only had the Edge network. Perfect for overnight stops. Sites required leveling, and no shade. All shade and WiFi sites were taken by permanents. Very clean and well kept. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We have a 35 ft 5ver. I would definitely use this campground again when passing through.

Very big rig friendly, only gave an 8 because roads and sites are gravel and there is very little shade. Clean, well kept and most of the sites were fairly level. Staff friendly. Surprisingly quiet, even though it was on a busy highway. A little too far off Interstate for just an overnight stay. I didn't notice a playground for kids, but this is mainly a campground for taking in the local events. Some permanent, but well kept. I would definitely stay here again.

Great park. Deducted a point for the narrow road and all the obstacles along the road, such as garbage cans, posts, etc., and no hiking trails. The obstacles are mainly a problem for waterfront sites. Our 5'ver is 35' long and we would have had trouble backing in to these sites. Excellent drivers would not find them a problem, but these were the smaller sites. Only about 3 pull throughs. Otherwise, this was a great park: the restrooms look new, the roads have just been re-paved, the sites are mostly level, and it is well kept. Back loop has very large spacious sites. Fishing piers along the lake to fish from or dock your boat. Gas/Diesel fuel is about 2 miles outside park. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice little park, owners extremely friendly. Facilities and park well maintained. Only reason not rated 10, sites were a little close and the sites on the river aren't set up for 5th wheels. Utilities are located in the front so motorhomes can pull in forward. I would definitely stay here again. Beware, call owner for directions, it is real easy to miss and you don't want to miss this one.

It is a nice campground, with friendly staff. It features very clean facilities. I rated it an 8 because the roads and sites are a little tight when campground is full, which it always seems to be. Call ahead for reservations. There is easy access off I-20. I would stay here again if I were in the area.

Date of Stay:

The price reflects Passport America rate. One of the nicest RV parks I ever stayed in. There is easy access from I-20 and gas right down the road. Large cement sites with a patio. They are spaced a good distance apart. The only downfall, it was hot. I can't hold that against the park's rating. The staff was extremely friendly; they have free laundry which is a plus. They asked that we pass the word. They offer a BBQ dinner in the evening, which I didn't eat so I can't comment on. I would definitely stay here again, in cooler weather.

It is very pricey for not having restroom facilities. Passport America was not honored because there were already to many PA customers in park. They all looked seasonal to me. The host was not extremely friendly. She helped us back up and started getting snippy and making faces because we couldn't put our camper in the exact spot she wanted. If she would have driven us to the spot in the right direction it would have been a lot easier. We would definitely prefer the other parks over this one south of town. We would not stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Nice quiet campground, friendly staff, clean facilities. There is a free trolley that passes every 20 min that will take you to town. Nice shade on campground in the evening. The road into the CG is a little steep but no problem. Rated it an 8 because the sites were a little tight and the restrooms could have been a little larger, considering the size of the tent campground. I would stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Price reflects weekly rate. Very nice and well maintained. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Only rated it a 9 because the sites required leveling because of wash off. Located 1/2 mi from Mesa Verde NP. Would stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Price reflects Passport America. Great campground, friendly staff; extremely clean facilities. Laundry prices very reasonable. Very large sites, could keep toad attached. Rated it a 9 only because it didn't have cable TV; poor antenna reception and side by side utilities. Would definitely stay here again.
