This naturalist campground has been for sale for several years, but the deal never closes. The previous reviewer was correct in saying it is a bit run-down. The main building's facilities are clean and in decent shape, but outdated. The grounds could be nicer, but crowded and not tended to on a regular basis. Many seasonal/full time residents, and only about 10-15 "first come first served" sites. They do not accept reservations, nor do they have numbered sites. They have a nice pond and stream, with hookups and water every 30 feet or so, and you just park where there is room. The restaurant/snack counter is excellent and has fair prices for good food. The full service bars (in and out) are well stocked and the bartenders are friendly. The heated pool and hot tub area is beautiful, natural rock and good seating. They have a band or DJ in the pool bar most Saturday evenings during the summer. You can have a fire at your site, which we find is getting scarcer in the area... Remember, since it's a naturalist resort, you will pay daily grounds fees of about $33 per couple per day, in addition to the camping fees.
