Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is right next door to a water park and a short ride to the heart of Amarillo. There was a nice hot Jacuzzi and indoor pool. We really enjoyed the American Quarter Horse Museum and recommend it to everyone, even if they weren't previously horse lovers. Also "Cadillac Ranch" is just up the road and a quirky roadside attraction no one should miss! We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Historic Route 66 RV Park (formerly Kiva RV Park), Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

The best part of this camping experience was the hospitality! The owner Tom and his sons were really nice and accommodating. Nights at the fish pond were fun. Tom is quite a character, as a matter of fact he is a character actor and appeared in several movies and television series. There is a dinosaur museum and award winning cheese factory nearby. Well worth the trip! We camped at Historic Route 66 RV Park (formerly Kiva RV Park) in a Motorhome.
