Sandy Shores, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over the Holiday for a week. This is just one of those parks that wow you. They have beach front access and beautiful grass lots. The owners have been in this business a long time, and you can tell from the way they run the park. A very nice family park located centrally in Silver Lake. You don't have to walk far to get anywhere. I highly recommend it. We camped at Sandy Shores in a Motorhome.

Silver Lake Resort and Campground, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

My family and I just stayed at this park, and I was surprised at the poor review it received. The park was one of the cleanest parks I've ever stayed in. The restrooms were most certainly five star hotel worthy. I've never seen facilities that nice for a park. The park was cleaned by staff day and night not to mention the restrooms and heated pool. Quiet hours were from 11pm to 8am, and it was nice to have a park that enforced this. This is a beautiful park, and I would highly recommend it to family and friends. The area was especially beautiful with lots to do for families. We camped at Silver Lake Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Holland State Park, Holland, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here back in 2008. It's your typical state park camping, but we and the kids enjoyed it. There was nice shade; bathrooms were so so. I would recommend it among the state parks. We camped at Holland State Park in a Tent.
