South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this KOA every summer over the years and it has always been one of favorites places. This is the first time we have been treated terrible by staff and the park was a complete pit. The pool was not clean and the campground had trash all over the place. It seemed like there was very little staff and the ones that were there did not care at all. Miss the regular folks who took care of things. We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Unless there staffing changes and keep things repaired and clean as years past this place is going down hill from years past. We did not make a reservation for next year as we have for the last 16 years of going. It's time to try another camp ground.

Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA, Onalaska, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

The money was worth it to us, only for the fact we have a boat and can park it and use the boat launch for free. Overall, it's an ok park and kids (teens) are not allowed to drive golf carts in the park. They pick and chose when to enforce that rule. The lady in the office rushed me along at check in and did not really want to give information about the park. Kind of sad, when you want to know about the area and their changes. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

When I made the reservation, they told us, "We are full." The next day the man said, "We have many spaces open." Depends on who you talk to.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week and had a great time because we were one of the camp sites in the shade. The other sites had half their rigs in the full Texas sun. We were lucky and did not get too hot. The river is low and has tons of deer in the back of the park. Overall, we would stay again but not for a week as there is not much to do in Kerrville. Be warned if you go into the hills, deer will jump in front of your truck without warning. We ended up getting hit and damaging our truck doors. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River in a Travel Trailer.

River Ranch RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is very friendly and seemed to care about the comfort of each individual. However, we were supposed to be in a deluxe site which was in the middle of the campground. These are not the best sites and should be standard and not deluxe. They are small sites for a 38ft trailer, the sites on the river (13 and 14) were much bigger and should have cost the most but were the cheapest and in the shade. We would stay here again, but not in the center of the campground. You do not need your golf cart in this campground, it is on the small side. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA, Onalaska, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The overall park is OK. However, we ended up with ants all over and in our trailer and caused us to never want to stay there again at any price. Maybe once they finish construction it might be worth another shot. The stay ended up costing us more money then it was worth. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA, Onalaska, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We love this site and go just about every time we have a free moment to get away. This site has everything you could want and then some. We have always loved this place except when they mix up the RV site with one off the water site. The staff is on-site and you could never go wrong with a weekend get away here or a week away from the city. Great Place to relax! We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA , Lawrence, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This was the worst campground we have ever stayed at in our lives. The hook-ups were not on the correct side of our trailer and management was no where to be found. The actual site was dirty with garbage and the people next to us did not want to move their car from our spot assigned. I would save your money from getting off the turn pike and go to the next campground. We have stayed at other KOA's South Padre Island and it was GREAT! Very disappointing KOA! We camped at Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Forks Campground, Grand Forks, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was an amazing experience compared to other campsites we stayed at along the way from Texas. The campground was clean and well maintained with many amenities and a wonderful fireworks show on the forth of July. Everything was exceptionally clean except for the disrespectful campers not cleaning up after themselves. Management is on the premises and was diligent about keeping the campground well maintained and cleaned up. They come around daily and clean all fire pits. The campground was never a KOA like mentioned in previous posts this is better then a KOA. The potential for peace and quite, and fun is all around you. This experience made me start looking for a home in the Dakotas as the people are willing to help and are very friendly. The manager of the campground was right there when we had issues with our camper. We have already made our reservation for next year! We camped at Grand Forks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this place and it was accessible to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything and you could never ask for a better campground. This was an exceptional KOA and we will certainly stay again. It is a little costly for a campground, but expected to be near the ocean. This is an A++ for a campground. We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.
