Ingalls Homestead, De Smet, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a covered wagon that the Homestead has there. This is the original Ingalls 160 acre homestead. A great place to stay while in De Smet doing the Laura Ingalls Wilder thing. A must for those Little House on the Prairie fans. The rate is for a Covered wagon. $30 for a trailer site We camped at Ingalls Homestead in a Campground Cabin.

Excellent campground. 1 1/2 miles from downtown. And an Easy walk. Very friendly owners, and a wondefull pool, very clean. We will stay here again. The kids loved the place. Lots of neat chainsaw carvings in the campground and for sale here. We camped at Campground St. Regis in a Travel Trailer.

Custer State Park - Blue Bell Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent state park. One of the best we have stayed at. We were here for 7 days. The last night the Buffalo came right down to the field just outside our trailer. There are lots of things to do while in the Park. I would recommed a 1/2 day horse ride out of the Blue Bell lodge. We camped at Custer State Park - Blue Bell Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here overhight and were very happy. There are several little gift shops, and a very nice restraunet in the campground. Sites are grassy and very easy to pull into. The river very close by and some tent sites are on the river. We would stay here again. We camped at Bearmouth Chalet RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
