7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Super clean here and the grounds are also neat and clean with grass and gravel. Your escorted to your site. The location is great for the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. There are wide sites and picnic tables all FHU. If I had any complaint here it's the location of the sewer hook up. It's too far back to hook up to RV. The approach road to the entrance is very bumpy so take your time and hold on to the crystal LOL. The bumpy 200 yards is well worth the inconvenience. One of the nicest CG on our trip so far from Michigan. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Happy Holiday Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is NOT Big Rig friendly. Hope you have good neighbors cause they will be close. Toad Parking non existent. We were escorted to our site and jumped over 4 sites and trails to get to ours. with power hook ups and tree limbs and other RVs to avoid. This CG was built in the 70's when a 34' Winnebago Chieftain was the big rig of the day. They were polite but they have visions of parking anybody anywhere. I will not be here again and will warn any body that they should find another CG, which there are many closer to the Black Hills area. We were in a 45 ft MH. Find another CG first if you are a Big Rig. We camped at Happy Holiday Resort in a Motorhome.

Autumn Woods RV Park, Rochester, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

I made reservations after asking if a 45 has the room and received a positive response. I also asked if I could receive mail. This was in march. When we pulled in we asked if we should unhook the toad the response was no not necessary. We also picked up the mail at the office. I pulled up to the site and started to make the turn, nope this isn't going to work. We unhooked the toad that was jammed from the turn. we backed up with my wife at the wheel of the toad very slow and unhooked. THIS PLACE IS NOT FRIENDLY TO BIG RIGS OR THE OFFICE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT PARKING A 45 FT RV with attached toad. I was glad this was a one nighter. We didn't hook up to anything. We will not be returning to this campground. They were very helpful on the phone too bad they don"t know their product. We camped at Autumn Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park), Punta Gorda, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

we stayed here for a month. Nice and clean. All sites are concrete, new for 2016-17. Not much room for a 45ft MH, but u only move 2 times no big deal. The pads are too short for a big rig so that you step down to the grass with your tag at the edge of concrete, no big deal we ruffed it. Everyone in the office was very helpful also the residents. we could only get in for 1 month since all the lots were taken for JFM. Lots to do in the area. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

White Birch Campground, South Deerfield, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

After turning into the driveway to enter the campground I was confronted by a NARROW concrete bridge. My MH is 46K pounds. Do you proceed? I did. We pulled up to the office building and my first impression was this place is a mess, with garbage piled up behind the building. We were here for just a stop for the night. This place is a stopover. if you plan on staying around the area and you have a family, keep looking. This place is fine for a stopover. We are fully self contained so we toughed it out; it was fine for our purpose. All the sites seem to be in a grass field. We camped at White Birch Campground in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground, Akron, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Do Not Use GPS To Get Here! Trust me use the directions from the Campground. This is a big campground. They are spread out with seasonal and transient sites that are level and hard ground we were not in a site per say but we were a group of 2 and wanted to be together. we only need 50 amp service for the one nights stay. We didn't have to unhook since we had a large area to just pull forward and turn around to get back on the road. The service is friendly and helpful. We found this CG from Passport but the discount is only good for M,T,W only no bother to me it was the area that we need to stay for our next leg in Ohio. The CG was very helpful. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Mystic KOA, North Stonington, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I was some what disappointed in this KOA. We stay in KOAs mostly and this place was on the most part was a good location for us. However, when we were in camp on our stay we had people going through our campsite going to the pool and the very large Pillow Jump. The roads are very narrow. If you have a 45 footer you have just enough room in the pull-throughs for your front cap and rear cap. The water and septic are REALLY close to each other, a condition that could be dangerous to your health. Our spot was empty when we got there but the weeds were up over the ankles. You would think that the weeds could be cut when it needs to be cut. The absence of signage to the KOA is problematic. The only sign that we saw was the one at the driveway of the entrance. The site next door had a sewer problem that was caused by the pipe being 6 to 7 inches below the ground so that there was no way to hook up to it and have the sewer pipe stay connected. You know what that does but the office was no help to their guest on their 4 day stay. What a mess. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to the Ohio Turnpike (Kent Ravenna exit). Mostly easy pull thru's. Watch out for large rocks at the corners. We have been staying here 8 years on business trips, using this as a base for the Akron Cleveland area. The pool was not used by us, but looked inviting. Fishing Lake, clean RR and showers. Staff is friendly and willing to please. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Shipshewana Campground North Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to town for you walkers. Park is clean and and simple to get settled. The bathrooms are clean along with the showers, but are in need to modernize. Campfires are not allowed, but in one place there is a communal campfire. Friendly staff. Monday nites are usually full because of the Flea Market on Tuesday so call ahead. We have been staying here for 8 years and nothing has changed in that time. No activities for the kids big and small. No pool but that is something we don't use anyway so we can do without. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tuesdays are for the Flea Market: many vendors from junk to great stuff, it runs the whole gamut. If you don't like walking AND you don't have a scooter they rent them. Be there early. If you have a scooter you ride down to the Market its about 500/600 feet north of CG.

Cape Hatteras KOA, Rodanthe, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beachfront KOA. If U R a sun worshiper this is good place to stay all east road lead the beach, we didn't partake in the beach but the KOA crowd starts in the 9am area until dark. Lotsa kids here but it was quite in the mh. Good place to be if U R into history of the OB. The food is okay but not the all of the restaurants are with a waitstaff and some times u need a sense of humor when it comes to the eateries. The KOA is a good place, but there are others with beach and water without the amenities. We camped at Cape Hatteras KOA in a Motorhome.

This location can cover all of the OBs. I would suggest that a 2 day stay here for the Rt64 bridge and south. Then change campsites to the northern end od the OBs and see everything from the rt64 bridge north for 2 days.

Hidden Lake Campgrounds, Graham, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was not a reservation just a drive up afte a LL call. They said they had a drive thru with 50 amps. It was getting dark so we took it over the phone. When we were escorted by foot walking in frount of the coach I knew we were in trouble, no problem we needed AC so 50 amps was the priority. The site was a 180 turn to get in it and that was after hitting 5 trees with my DTV antenna. After getting in the site there was NO 50 amp only 30. We looked like the only transient in the place, everybody elese has been there a lifetime DONT BOTHER TO STOP. We camped at Hidden Lake Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
