Roads and sites are gravel. Leveling required. Nice overnight park with a quiet country atmosphere. All hooks ups including cable worked well. Pool on site for kids. This is a Good Sams park also. Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Made reservations for overnight stay. The sites and roads were gravel. The full hook up site given was unlevel and required level blocks. The sites were close together and hookups close to your neighbor's. Owners appear to be trying to improve park by providing a new building with breakfast served if wanted, gym, restrooms, and showers. They had a July 4th cookout with music for campers. They even had a few fireworks on site. Some sites have no shade, but nice mountain view. Many full time units on site. A good park for overnight stay. Would return if in area, but request a better site. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Roads and sites are gravel, but level. Some sites have shade, and some with mountain view. In making reservations, the site we got was in the old part with some mountain view, no shade. Our site was in front of a three site fire that had occurred a few days prior to arrival. Not the best atmosphere, but the park personnel did apologize for it. This park is an overnight stay only. Did have a pool for kids. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and clean park. Roads & sites are gravel but level. Campground is near airport, but not much air traffic or noise on our stay. The Office, community room, laundry, and restrooms very clean. Very nice pool and very clean grounds. The local Big Texan has a limo that drives through to allow campers access without driving. Stayed only one night, but would definitely return but stay at least two days. This is a rural park, but very clean & friendly We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Roads and pads were gravel and dirt. Sites are very narrow, raising concerns if your unit has slideouts. The management was very friendly and admitted this was a very old park. Good for overnight stay only. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort, Vinita, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are gravel, but sites are definitely waterfront with level sites. The lake side is best view, but hot in afternoon without shade. Many of the sites are rented with full time units in place, but several lots available for vacationers. This is a good place to go for several days. Swimming, fishing, and boating are the main activities for this resort. Has laundry facilities on site if required. Close to Langley where gas and groceries are available. Would return if site available in future We camped at Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort in a Motorhome.

Cedar Oaks RV Resort, Grove, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Sams Club brought the price down, spent 3 nights. This is an older park with "lake view" sites available. The park owners and their staff are very friendly and helpful. Sites and roads are gravel, but along with the grounds are well maintained. Even though we liked this park and would return in future, downgraded from 10 due to the electrical fluctuations and no dedicated swimming area. We camped at Cedar Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Spent only one night, but from our observations this is a great, clean park. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our corner site was a level concrete pad surrounded by grass. Plan to return in future to explore further. We camped at Bennett Spring State Park in a Motorhome.

Rock Island KOA, Rock Island, Illinois

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Campground has very nice bathroom & shower building. Current owners appear to be attempting to make improvements and have many full timers. The site we had was advertised as "deluxe" with full hook ups with view of lake and with a deck. The site was large, but looking toward the busy & noisy road in front of the campground. We camped here in a 25' and could not position the motorhome to use the available deck and still hook up to sewer. This site should be advertised as "big rig only" and not "deluxe." Owners were not really friendly nor concerned with campers. She passed us several times taking others to sites but never checked with us to see if all OK. We booked three nights, but only stayed two due to road noise. Owners could make the general appearance better by just cleaning up "lakes" (ponds) and picking up the fallen limbs even in the middle of roads. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Pine Lakes Camping & Fishing Resort, Pittsfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

An older park, but nice with some full timers. Sites with full hookup are away from lake and small. We stayed four nights in 25' motorhome. The owners very helpful and friendly. The owners are still making improvements, but park in very good condition. Were there on weekend with Halloween activities for kids. The campground owners had a very good activity listing with fun for all. We will definitely return. We camped at Pine Lakes Camping & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.

Dam West Recreation Area COE, Carlyle, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in 25' motorhome with full hookups and lake view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground looked very clean and had constant maintenance people reviewing site conditions daily. Our site was great until it rained and then it became muddy. Issue could be resolved by adding additional gravel to site and making channel to run water behind the site. We would definitely return! We camped at Dam West Recreation Area COE in a Motorhome.
