Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

It's a pretty state park but even though they advertise Wi-Fi, you must go up to camp store to get a signal, and even then, the connection is very poor. Also, we couldn't get our satellite to work, due to trees. It's a little tight to maneuver but adequate. Due to no Wi-Fi, we won't be back but rather opt for actual RV park. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Motorhome.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely love this quiet, scenic park on the Mississippi River. The camp workers are extremely helpful and friendly and sites are nice. The park is very clean and the office has so much information on Natchez which is directly over the bridge. We will continue to come here. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Henderson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 10 days and it is a beautiful, immaculately clean park. Nice size sites too. We were here for a Boucherie where they killed a hog and had a live band which was extremely loud but it seemed all the RV's were local Cajuns who camp here regularly and they had a great time, dancing and drinking. I would give Cajun Palms a 10 if it hadn't been for several dogs running lose. Pet owners were very lax in keeping pets under control and picking up after them. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hardeeville RV, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights and liked it so well we came back for 2 more nights while exploring Savannah and area. It's a simple, unassuming park, but is flat, with gravel sites, nice shade trees, very quiet, and very close to Savannah, yet in a rural setting. The owner is extremely friendly and would do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be back. We camped at Hardeeville RV in a Motorhome.

Mount Pleasant KOA, Mt. Pleasant, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Horrible, detestable park which was extremely tight, very dirty and full of transients in old, decrepit trailers. Also we did not feel safe because of the people in the park. The park looked as if it was straight out of the movie, "Deliverance." We camped at Mount Pleasant KOA in a Motorhome.

Oak Creek RV Park, Weatherford, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here overnight and at first glance, the park seemed to be quite attractive with trees throughout and a stream in the middle of the park. It's been open for 2 years and when we checked in, there were no maps or "packets" containing any information. The young woman at the front desk was friendly but no help. There was only TV service which constituted 1 decent channel to watch. It appeared that most of the people there were transients. Usually, late afternoon through evening, any given RV park has a fairly good number of RV's coming in but not this park. We found it extremely odd that we and one other RV were the ONLY units to come in that night. We won't be back again. We camped at Oak Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest, cleanest, most beautiful parks we've ever been in. Why can't more parks be like this one? The Wi-fi is free and very fast, the dog walk is long and great for active dogs, and the clubhouse is "gorgeous" as my wife says. We'll absolutely be back. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clinton / Knoxville North KOA, Clinton, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here overnight after seeing the high rating in Trailer Life. We were shocked. It was tight for big rigs, many permanents, roads and sights were gravel and unlevel with little grass, did I mention tight for big rigs? Overall, it was exceedingly poor. Never again. We camped at Clinton / Knoxville North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
