Stopped for one night due to sign on highway. Signage to find park is not good. Use GPS for accurate directions. Access is great and will handle large rigs. Paved sites with good utilities. Good tv reception. Seems like most of the sites are storage for units. Park was very clean. Staff was also very helpful.

Park was very easy to get to from I-40. Some traffic noises, but as the signs said it would flood in heavy rain. Most of the roads were part way flooded but it had been raining for 3 days. Park is nothing special but good for a one night stop.

The park is kept very clean with trash cans all around emptied regularly. Laundry worked well and as it is an off season was not busy. Location was good to I-60 and access to all of the Phoenix area. Some traffic noise but not a problem. Our site was level with good access to all utilities. Over the air TV was very good.

Only stopped for one night near the end of the season. Park was very empty so we got one of the few trees for shade. Check in was great with good attendents, no credit cards, escort to site, and help finding what was still open in the area. Most had shut down for the season. Site was level, gravel, with patio.

Used this as a stopover park while passing through. Sites are all gravel, close, good utilities and cable, and the only problem was consistent train noise. They have a restaurant, hot tub, game room, small store, and other items we did not use. Lady checking us in was fantastic, pleasant, and efficient.

We stayed since all others were full and arrived late, after 5pm. The park looks a mess as does the buildings associated with it but was good for a short stay visiting the caverns. This is not a destination park. Facilities worked but sites were very close. We were assigned one site but used another as they do not track usage very well. They do not take credit cards for camping but do in the gift shop for other purchases.

We only stopped for one night and the park was well kept. Concrete pad was level and all utilities worked well.

This park was a surprise. Very clean, great laundry with 4 machines, paved, level sites and cable was good. We also had good ATT reception. The park is very close to the Gulf, casinos, lots of restaurants and shopping. We were in the area to visit our son. The park made us feel very safe and noise from the interstate was not a problem for us. If we returned we would stay here again.

Stopped for one night while passing through. Power and water pressure was good. Received 10 tv over the air channels and wifi worked well. Owner escorted us to site and was very helpful. We would stop here again if in the area.

We stopped on the way to Mississippi for one night. Was very easy to access with good roads to the park. Once inside had crushed limestone that was solid without puddles and pretty level even though the ground off the road was soft. Water pressure and power were good and we didn't try TV OTA. Wifi did not work but we were at the far end of the park. We did not use any other parts of the park.

This is a city park with well kept grounds, large grass sites, water, electric, cable, and Wi-Fi. Heated pool was clean and park had wood available. A disc golf course on-site was a bonus as was the closeness to Ludington and Lake Michigan. We will return as we do every year for disc golf and House of Flavors in Ludington.

First time here and very surprised at the quality of the campground. Crew was pleasant and grounds were spotless. Wi-Fi worked, depending on distance from clubhouse. Many activities for kids and families and great pool. Small store, great gathering room, and very good management. Nearby to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Crystal Mountain skiing, Legacy Art Park, casino, and varied shopping plus many local and national artists like Gwen Frostic. We will return.

Again had sites along the playground and volleyball court, all grass, level, with good power. The lake is up but plenty of beach both on the lake and bay side. Boardwalk to the pet beach is underwater at parts but that is not a problem. Dog wash area is provided for those that get into the dirt after swimming. New grill at the beach has many menu items with a DJ on Friday so entertainment is very nice. Staff and host were very helpful with firewood available and can be delivered to your site if requested. The city, East Tawas with it's stores and restaurants gives this place a small town feel with big town conveniences. While the park with 3 mile bike trail to town isolates you from any of the hustle. We will return next year.

Date of Stay:

Park has paved wide roads with all sites paved. Most will accept big rigs and sites have vegetation isolating from most other sites. Power pole is shared and could be up to 100 feet away. Water is available in many areas of each of two campgrounds. Beach is very clean and convenient. Disc Golf course is in the park as are bike, hike, and horse trails. Park personnel were very nice and helpful. Only one person can use the dump at a time and could be a hangup on busy days. Restrooms were newer ones of Michigan state parks. We will return.

We stayed here due to the brand new restrooms that were clean, modern, and exceptional including the showers. Above them is a common room for groups and games. The park has wide gravel roads that are not hard to negotiate with a big rig and each full hookup site is easy to get into with the awning facing east so the sun in the evening is not on the awning. There are also electric only sites with easy access. A dump station is available for everyone. The park is quiet with no light pollution for star gazing. Many Amish attractions are nearby. Would rate the park a 10 if they had any trees for shade. We will return.
