Flatwoods KOA, Sutton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

First, to register you must drive up to the top of a hill, the road is narrow and has curbs, yes, curbs which can be clipped if not very careful. The road leading down into the campground is asphalt and very narrow, steep, and curvy. Did not enjoy that drive and especially when exiting, very steep, narrow and curvy...

The campgrounds is well kept, large trees, and grass, concrete patios, and picnic tables. There is good spacing between sites. Full hookups worked good. You have access to all the amenities of the hotel, i.e., the pool, fitness, center, dining. We camped in 43 ft RV with tow. We would stay here again . Site was NOT level. We camped at Flatwoods KOA in a Motorhome.

Surprise, you must first check in at the Days Inn Hotel desk at the top of the hill; we registered at the first portico. No KOA personnel on the campground, only at the hotel. The desk clerk was courteous and efficient.

Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch RV Resort, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Camped in 43' RV 3 nights, 4 days with our club. The weeds (no grass) were over a foot high and in great need of mowing. Sites were concrete but not level. Nice facilities. Will not camp there again because of yard. Did not see any shade sites but a lot of new trees planted. Think they are converting to YOGI BEAR Park. We camped at Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park and nice hosts. Utilities well placed with good space between site but no trees. Only negatives are there are prairie dog holes everywhere. Very hard to walk around the RV without springing your ankle. There is not a good dog area. This is our second stay and we plan to return again. We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park and hosts. Gave a 7 because sites were close together and very tight to move around park, however, we did it in 44 ft motorhome (first try). Would probably stay here again. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.
