Hale's Bar Marina and Camground, Guild, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

There appear to be several permanent residents here. Cable TV cables run across the road in several places. Entrance to office is poorly marked. We stayed here because several parks in Chattanooga practice breed discrimination. We won't stay here again. We camped at Hale's Bar Marina and Camground in a Motorhome.

Pier-Lon Park, Medina, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful park. Lots of green space with a huge playground, small lake and Frisbee Golf course. THe pull-through sites are large and gravel based. This is a very nice park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pier-Lon Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Rest RV Park, Shady Springs, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pleasant campground but hard to find. The map location is incorrect and we wound up on a dead end road about 20 miles away from the campground. The campground is off of exit 233 of I-64. Then road leading to it is about .6 miles north of the exit. The campground itself is in a beautiful location but it lacks any facilities save the electric, water and sewer connections. The owner is very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Admin note: Per owner: Park is at I-64 exit 133, travel north on Hwy 27. Hwy 27 will bend back to the west and will cross back over I-64. Park will be 1/8 of a mile on right side (south side of I-64). Map pin is set to correct place. We camped at Shady Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean park, spaces somewhat small. Many, many rules. We were forced to spend the night in Nashville for repairs to our coach. Would not stay here again. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Flintlock Campground, Boone, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Wifi was strong, cable tv was very good. This is an older campground with very small sites. We backed in next to the creek and had the front end flush with the road. We're only 38 feet. Sites very narrow. Fortunately the site on our door side had no electric so it was vacant most of our stay. They had all 30 amp electric. We camped at Flintlock Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort, Citra, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground. Many pull through sites with concrete pads. The only problem is they don't allow large breed dogs so we can only stay here if we don't bring the puppies. We camped at Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
