Sunbeam Lake RV Resort, El Centro, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Discovered this gem when pulling off I-8 for the night. Friendly staff and tenants. Well spaced lots with full hookups, cable and Wi-Fi. Many snowbirds and all we met were friendly. Beautiful saline pool and hot tub. Many activities with on site director. Clean and well maintained. Gated passcode controlled entrance. We will be back again next year. Recommended. We camped at Sunbeam Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Saddle Mountain RV Park, Tonopah, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This place is OK as a overnight but not longer due to an intermittent stench from a huge commercial chicken egg production facility located about 1/2 mile away. The smell will chase you inside your RV.

Full hookup lots, nearby fuel stations with diesel, easy access from I-10, near post office. Nearest shopping is Buckeye (about 20 minutes away) that has a Fry's and Wally World. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrowhead Point Campground and Cabins , Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time at this park. We were welcomed by the friendly owners upon our arrival and after checking in, were led to our site where were assisted in backing our rig. The site was level and well graded with gravel. We had room to extend both the slide and the awning with room left over for the picnic table and more. We had two nice trees on our site. It's obvious that the owners take great pride in the park as it is clean, well maintained and trash free. The bathroom/shower building we used was thoroughly cleaned every day and looks and smells brand new. The office/store is well stocked and the owners are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and current events in the local area. The Wi-Fi worked great and we never lost service. All utilities worked just as they should. We looked at other RV campgrounds in the area and found Arrowhead Point Camping Resort to be the best value for the money. If you're going to stay at a RV park in the Buena Vista area, this is where you want to stay. We'll be back! We camped at Arrowhead Point Campground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Aspen Acres Campground, Rye, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Located in the beautiful San Isabel national forest, this campground has sites with and without full hookups. We didn't use the Wi-Fi so I can't report on it's operation. It's located very near La Vista national forest campground which has a beautiful lake that is stocked with trout. We had a beautiful treed drive through site that was level. This made for an easy quick setup. The office and adjacent gathering area was well maintained and attractive with a fireplace and reading area. They had fun entertainment on the weekend. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The only negative issue for the entire park was the bathroom/shower room. It needed to be totally remodeled. It was filthy and made me glad I had a bathroom in my RV. Maybe I just caught it at a bad time. It's in a beautiful location and if you go be sure to see Bishop's Castle which is about 3 miles down the road. We camped at Aspen Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mueller State Park, Divide, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is the finest Colorado state park we have stayed at to date. Very well maintained and clean. Bathroom and showers are very clean and up to date. Showers cost $1.00 for four minutes and each additional quarter buys you another minute. Breathtaking scenery is complimented by an interpretive center with knowledgeable staff. The park is patrolled regularly by rangers who are helpful and also ensure rules are followed. Wildlife can be seen throughout the park and is home to elk, deer and bear just to name a few. Firewood may be purchased on site and is quite reasonable. Campfires are restricted to provided fire rings. I highly recommend camping at this jewel of Colorado. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Travel Trailer.
