Roman Nose State Park & Lodge, Watonga, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great family campground. Had miniature golf, paddle boats, horse rides, trails, fishing, and a huge nice swimming pool. The trails were great with natural springs and creeks that were beautiful. We had one of the few spots with shade. Lake was nice but small, not for big boats. Swimming pool cost $5 for adults and $4 for kids, there were issues with the pool being closed, but it was a very nice pool. Staff was great. We would return. We camped at Roman Nose State Park & Lodge in a Tent Trailer.

It is a pretty lake. Great trails. We found some sites tucked away in the trees, so there was plenty of shade. Some nice playgrounds for the kids. Overall a good experience. Would go back. We camped at Keystone Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Lake Murray is remarkable. There were plenty of spots with shade. It was like we had a private beach with shade. The showers and bathrooms were super clean. Great playground for the kids. Horse back riding. Great for families. We camped in a pop-up. We camped at Lake Murray State Park / Marietta Landing in a Tent Trailer.
