This Holiday Trails Resort is a terrific campground for adults and families alike. Some of the sites are very open and can get hot in the summer, but there are plenty of treed sites in the main body of the resort. The kids will love this place with the bunnies that they can try and catch. Close to the Red Deer River for canoeing and lazing around on when it get's too hot. Staff was very friendly, the wifi on the outer edges of the resort was hit and miss. Close to Drumheller if you need to hit the stores for anything. A must see is the Royal Tyrrell Museum, a definite must see. The scenery, although stark, is amazing, beautiful sunsets and sunrises. I would highly recommend this to anyone, and have.

This was a nice and convenient campground, not exceptional in any way, just a nice, easy to get into and out of campground. The pool was nice, as we were there during the week, it was pretty much deserted. The washrooms/showers were very clean and neat. The actual sites themselves were mostly treed and ours backed onto the forested area and was fairly level. Baddeck is a short drive away and well worth visiting. If you get the chance take in a celidh (say it like kaillie).

We stayed at this resort as it was C2C and close to the beach. This campsite appeared to be mostly seasonal folks, friendly and all, but the sites were very cramped and roads quite narrow. I feel I am being generous with the above rating. The drinking water was disgusting and smelled like "poo" literally. We'd booked in for 2 nights and wished we'd known the area a little better, as we would have moved on after the first night. Staff were indifferent, had no record of our reservation even though we provided the reservation number. Their clubhouse/weight room/activity area was dilapitated and unkempt. The pool area was nice. Another good thing was the trolley and closeness to excellent family restaurants. I wouldn't recommend this campground.
