This campground is a gravel and dust filled field with no picnic tables, no restrooms, no showers and a sewer system that doesn't work well. The Wi-Fi does not work. The is no cable TV. The owners are offsite. The sites are not level. This is the worst campground I have ever visited.

Date of Stay:

The sewer pipe was too high and the tanks would not drain. Our site, as well as most of the campsites, were flooded. We had a stream running under our trailer. We were never able to access the Wi-Fi. Our site was a dirt/gravel mixture. I would not stay here again.

Date of Stay:

We enjoyed the meals at the restaurant. The Wi-Fi was very slow and difficult to obtain a signal. The restrooms were very small and lacked attention. The site were gravel and were not level. The staff were friendly. Most sites were well shaded. The store had reasonably priced clothes and other items.

Date of Stay:

The lots were gravel, but were level. The staff were friendly. The Wi-Fi was very weak. We had to go to the office area to receive and transmit emails. The staff were very friendly.

Date of Stay:

The boot on the sewer connections leaks sewer gas and liquids. Some lots really stink. The lots are stone covered and they are not level. The spaces were flooded while we were here. All pull vehicles must be detached because the lots are so small. The staff will "bark" at you if any wheels touch their grass. The Wi-Fi reception was poor.

Date of Stay:

We had to move to several sites in order to find a good electrical box. The service poles in some sites are about to fall over. We had to take cold showers because there wasn't any hot water. The campground was supposed to have a restaurant, but it was closed. The sites were dirt. This campground has some serious problems that need to be corrected. Updates need to be made as soon as possible. It was difficult to reach the staff via the telephone. No one was there.

Date of Stay:

You would think that a campground that charges $46 a night would provide level sites. The sites were dirt and gravel. A man and his little boy were raking the dirt to level off the sites. There were deep ruts in some sites. The campground involves a difficult and long drive from Austin. Although the staff were friendly and helpful, we would not stay here again.

This was a return visit for our family. It is refreshing to see companies that really understand the RV camping business. This is a well maintained facility with a friendly and efficient staff. The campground offers a free, hearty breakfast in the morning. The sites were level. The grounds were well maintained. We will stay here again. We have recommended this place to our friends.

The RV sites are level and cement. It has easy access to I-10. The hosts were friendly. How ironic that we have paid almost twice as much in other campgrounds with sites composed of gravel and dirt. There is plenty of space for the tow vehicle and the RV. We would stay here again. We paid $25 cash only.

Date of Stay:

The staff provided transportation in order to meet friends. The manager is a very friendly person. The park is very clean and well kept. I would stay here again. It was very restful and safe for elderly travelers.

There was a traffic jam created when people were at the single dump outlet. Some people could not leave the park. Heavy erosion has caused some sites to have severe slopes. Other sites were level with gravel. Good sites are hit and miss. It took a lot of maneuvering to get into our site. This campground is more suited for tent campers or small pop-up campers. The hosts were friendly and helpful, however some of the office staff were not a bit friendly. This park has clearly been neglected by the state of Florida. Our trailer was on a dangerous slope and we never could get it balanced. A vicious dog lunged at us each time we walked on the street to the facility house.

It was nice to be greeted by a friendly clerk when we checked in for our overnight stay. The site was dirt and level. The restroom/showers had no paper towels. The floors were very dirty and water pooled up in the showers. This is a convenient location for visiting Armstrong Atlantic State University or Savannah. The park has a large growth of Live Oak trees. I parked here 29 years ago and not many changes have been done to the park. I suggest you use your on board toilet and shower.

Date of Stay:

The campsites are on slanted dirt lots which flood when it rains. The staff are not very friendly. The area is infested with mosquitoes. The restroom floors and shower floors were covered in dirt. The campground is designed for tent campers and for people that do not suffer from smoke filled air. Definitely not worth the trip. Charleston, SC is a great place to visit, but we would not return to this campground.

Date of Stay:

The shower was closed between 7:00AM and 9:00AM because that fits better into the staff schedule. The showers and bathrooms were filthy. The tent campers filled our trailer with choking smoke. They were about five feet from our trailer. This campsites were too small for us to enter and exit. We had to negotiate into other adjacent sites. If those sites would have been filled, we would have been blocked from exiting. Jekyll Island is a fantastic place to visit, but I would not stay in this campground. This campground is poorly managed.

My wife said the women's shower and bathroom needed repairs. The men's restroom was nice. I enjoyed biking on the roads and viewing the gopher tortoises. The sunset on the lake was beautiful. We rented the enclosed shelter #3. It was very nice. It had a refrigerator, stove and a nice front porch. The ADA site was paved with a cement patio, fire pit, light pole and picnic table. The hosts were very friendly. The park was located on Georgia Highway 37. It was only 6 miles from I-75, shops and restaurants. The laundry had new machines. We would stay here again. A nice park for a group rally.
