Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here quite a few times. Sometimes just for the night, and other times for 3 or 4 days when we were exploring the area. It has always been clean, the site level, and quiet. There is a great walking area for the dog. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

York KAMPground, York, Nebraska

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a new campground, young trees have been planted, as well as grass. It is within walking distance to Walmart, and restaurants. It was easy in and Out to the Interstate. We stopped here on our way down south in March, and on our way back in mid April. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

Whistler Gulch RV Park & Campground, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here before. Very nice location. However they were laying new pipes along the road into Deadwood, so there were delays. But it will be nice once they are finished. Wifi was good. Didn't use the pool. Often saw deer on the hills surrounding the campground. We camped at Whistler Gulch RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Have come to Deadwood many times since 1990. It's lost some of it's charm from the very early days, when you could carry your bucket of nickels from one place to another. All the smaller casinos are gone. DO NOT take your motorhome or 5th wheel up to the cemetery to see Wild Bill Hickok's grave. We saw one, part of the way up there, and a tow truck having a devil of time getting him down.

Prairie RV Park, Elkhart, Kansas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice clean campground. The sites are roomy and well laid out. It's located on highway 56 and has a car wash on the same site. You enter behind the car wash. The cable and internet were both good. Despite being on the highway, noise was minimal. Would recommend. We camped at Prairie RV Park in a Motorhome.

Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful spot. Our campsite, number 7, was huge and very private with lots of trees and shrubbery separating us from our neighbours. The campground had all the conveniences, but you'd think you were staying in a State Park as it was so wooded. It was easy access to the city, and to Sleeping Bear Dunes. The scenic road to the Dunes and the Dunes themselves were worth coming to this area. Stellar! We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Country Village RV Park, Ishpeming, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large park, with easy access. It's clean, and neatly groomed. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of places to walk the dogs safely. The laundry room was spotless, though we didn't use the showers or washrooms, I assume they were clean and well maintained....like the rest of the facilities. We used it as our base to tour the Marquette area. We would camp here again. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Aune-Osborn Campground, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived the weekend after Labour Day and the park was full, only 4 spots left. It's a nice park, lots of places to walk the dogs. We had a shaded spot along the road, but the rest of the grounds were quite open. There are park benches along the water to sit and watch the huge ships passing by. It was easy access to the locks and other points of interest. The park was clean. We would stay there again. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Our spot overlooked Lake Huron, very nice. This campground is huge, but the signage was clear so it wasn't too difficult to find your spot. The campground does not have laundry facilities, so you have to go into Mackinaw City if you need to do laundry. You get one Wi-Fi connection an additional connection is $2 a day. The park is huge, but the trash bins are located at the exit to the park, which we didn't find too convenient. I didn't find the campground very dog friendly. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Bemidji KOA, Bemidji, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Our second stay here. We found it clean, the staff friendly, and our site was nice and level. Wi-fi was slow, but adequate for our needs. There's a large pet walking area, which was nice but could use a trash container. Lots to see and do in the area. We camped at Bemidji KOA in a Motorhome.
