Positives, the marina is fantastic - we used it during our stay to put the boat in and out. There is a nice little restaurant, and all the people were nice and accommodating. Good southern hospitality. I wouldn't tell anyone NOT to stay here, "different strokes for different folks". However, it wasn't what we wanted for our family campout. It's a small campground, I guess 20-25 sites, most were permanent, but looked in decent shape. There looked to be only a few overnight sites, none of them were good for anything but plugging in and leaving the park. The campsite was basically gravel, water, electric, and a cliff with a sad excuse for a picnic table and fire ring over the hill. I suppose the place would be OK if you were just going to stay on the water all day and come back to sleep. Restrooms looked "rough" but we weren't there long enough to look inside. We left to find another park, they did refund our money, which I did not expect. I almost feel guilty giving such a low rating due to the face to face experience we had with the people, so the rating is strictly on the campsite itself.

Fantastic campground! Sure it's off the beaten path, but wow it's worth it! We have stayed here twice just to get away for a few days. The park is beautiful, the owners care about every blade of grass in the park, and even the seasonal campers welcomed us with open arms. This is not a good spot if you are just traveling through because it will take you a while to get there, But if you are looking for a few days to get away and relax, make this #1 on your list. We LOVE it.

This park has a lot of potential but is very poorly managed. A lot of permanent campers on sites close to the water, which is fine because it is on the water and the lake is their main draw. The permanent sites were poorly kept by campers and staff. We stayed on a newer campsite near the office and away from the permanent guests. These sites were built right on top of each other, if you wanted a picnic table or fire ring you had to go find one. Most campsites were washed out from heavy spring rain, and there is no staff to fix it. This park has absolutely no employees outside of the office. You can tell, because nothing gets ever gets repaired. The neighbor told us that the sites have been washed out for months, and grass had only been mowed once all season. It's a shame, because it could be a very nice park with a some TLC. We won't be back.

We spent spring break here with another family that stayed in a cabin and had a wonderful time. The activities were fun for the kids and they loved the 'Hay hay hay' rides! The only down negative thing about the visit was the fact that the fishing pond was drained: we were told the week before that it would be available. Overall we did enjoy our stay.

We love this campground! We started camping here in a tent years ago and now in our travel trailer. The camp hosts are very nice and helpful. The sites are gravel and very large. Trees completely surround you giving lots of privacy. We will camp here again and again. I would have a rated Zilpo a 10 if water sites were available.

This is a nice overnight campground but you do get a some noise from the train tracks on one side and the interstate on the other.

This campground was a pleasant surprise, with a large pool, several playgrounds and free mini golf. The fishing lake was also very well maintained with a nice fountain in the middle. Our yard was a little out of level but overall the site was great. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on what to see and do in the area. Our only real complaint was that the store, pool, and recreation room closed at 8:00pm, we found that kind of odd. We would definitely camp here again.
