Recent million dollar plus renovation. Many of the non-native trees removed. What was once so dark and damp it was more a haven for vampires is now open and light. Campground hosts are friendly. 30 water and electric hook up RV sites are pull throughs. Dump station easy to access. Hike and bike section. No store on site but town is a very short drive. Golf course borders west side of park. Estuary on south with bird watching. Small marina on south side with kayak rentals and restaurant. Plan to return. Free WiFi about two miles away at a coffee house in town.

Date of Stay:

Santa Barbara County Park system. No body contact with the lake water. Fishing is allowed. Dogs are $2/night. AAA/Senior discounts. Full hook up sites have concrete pads with lawn (watered year round)and large trees. Water & Electric only and dry sites are all lawn or dirt as the season (rain) dictates. Quiet campground, we stay there frequently. Staff is very friendly. Solvang and Santa Ynez close by.
