Covered Wagon Camp Resort, Ottawa Lake, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Wish we had known of this site before we set out because we would not have come here. Park, can't call it a resort, is full of seasonal units that have moss growing on them or flat tires, or both. All planters that were freshly planted in the spring are dead and dried up. We are putting off laundry until our next stop. The only reason we are staying is a family reunion(not held here). Office is not clean, dust prevails. Costs not mentioned in Trailer Life are in effect for A/C and wifi. Can see that at one time this property was nice, now just very undermaintained. Only a few sites have sewer, sites are smallish, some cannot handle slides on modern RVs. Lots of potential for updates which could make this park a resort again. We camped at Covered Wagon Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Tiki RV Park & Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Not real fancy, but had everything we needed except wifi to the RV. Wifi Hotspot was in office with no electrical hookup so had to run battery. Our site had view of Lake Huron=very nice. Staff was helpful and literature given upon checking in was extensive. Evidence of more sites being laid out. This park is a good place to anchor to see the surrounding area, including Mackinac Island. We camped at Tiki RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Summer Breeze Campground, Iron Mountain, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Family Camping park with sites that were grassy for tents and large level pull throughs. Activities planned, on-going updating is evident. Garden areas well maintained, a sign that owners care. Friendly staff, helpful with knowledge of local attractions. Only drawback is that it is located near a RR crossing. We stayed 2 nights, though and only one train (around 10PM)after dark. In Upper Peninsula, MI, this is a really nice place to stay. We camped at Summer Breeze Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Hill Family Campground, Harrison, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Found park convenient to US 127, good signage at road. Park owner friendly and showed us to our site which was a partially shaded site with room for 3 slides. Picnic benches in excellent condition. Restrooms and showers attached to office and in spotless condition. At mid week camp was half filled(approx.)and quiet. Either as a destination for families to spend family time with planned weekends and outdoor games or as a place for an only an overnight stop, I would suggest you would not be disappointed. Good Sam and AAA We camped at Hidden Hill Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Can understand why Good Sam Welcome Mat has been awarded so often. Everything was as we were led to believe. Staff goes out of the way to assist and made reservations for activities. Laundry room has ample machines, all in working order and all clean. Park is well landscaped, sites very level. We will not bother trying another park when(if)we ever get back Branson way. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
